I am worried about this game. Everything seems to be working towards a Messi world cup win. All other Argentine stars underperform and Messiah bails them out every time. The team struggles with mediocre teams yet Messi still manages to bring something out vs Belgium vs Holland and now the finals with Germany Looks too much like a date with destiny just like CL 2012 where Chelsea was just written in the stars to win it regardless of what opponent throws at them
That's my worry too, I can't handle another disaster again The stars seem aligned to have Argentina lift a trophy on Brazilian soil.. With the walker at the helm
I am very nervous for this match as well. I fear we scored all our goals vs Brazil and it will be very, very difficult to beat their defense.
It looks nothing like that whatsoever. #1 A Germany player will not miss a penalty pre-shootout. #2. Germany doesn't lose shootouts.
Only one difference ...that Argentine side was a more dangerous side than the current one...and they didn't wear NEON BRIGHT..girlie football boots!
Fastest remedy to that 7-1 Scar...because a 7-1 loss combined by an argentine u know what ( will not even allow those letters here)..pretty much guarantees that Brazilian will leave their land..or change their citizenships PRONTO!
All 17 German goals in one place...enjoy. http://www.tz.de/sport/fussball/zdf...and-tore-brasilien-halbfinale-tz-3688225.html
WHY U DOING THIS TO US??? WHERE HAVE U BEEN?? DIDNT SEE YOUR "EASY WIN COMMENT" AT THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW FINAL THREAD....WHY DIDNT U??? THIS IS SCARING ME
Well I feel even though Argentina deserve respect but Germany should win this, france and Brazil were the big stumbling block and now Germany will be full of confidence
Many parallels in Argentina of 1990 and Argentina of 2014. Messi in this world cup has been the equivalent of Maradona in 1990. Stellar Higuain is Cannigia. Both woke up in the later stages. Higuain with his solo goal against Belgium. Cannigia ( who I find better) with his equalizer against Italy in the 1990 SF. Bilardo was just as monotonously dressed as Sabella. Lavezzi is a poor mans Burruchaga Only Goyocheya is miles ahead of Romero. I think Germany should win this in regulation time.
I am no Messi fan, nor Maradona, but I don't recall either being stellar this year or in 1990. In 1986 I think he was, but I recall him being a shadow of himself by 90. Wasn't he in to drugs heavily by then? I though he was arrested the following season in Italy, no? For me Messi has been average at best. He's had moments of good play but nothing I personally would call stellar. Maybe I'm in the minority.
I'm expecting a comfortable victory for Argentina, and here's why: 1. Germany has been choking in crucial games for over 20 years. 2. Germany is like a youth's club, leaderless and immature - although to a lesser extent than Brazil was. 3. All that the German players are thinking about right now is lifting the cup when they should be thinking about Argentina. This complacency will be their undoing. 4. Germany simply doesn't play beautiful football. Even when you score 7 goals one is uglier than the other and mostly exploiting the same holes as found previously such as the 4th, 5th, and 6th goals against Brazil. It's ruthlessly efficient, but rather unsightly, unimaginative, and arguably against the spirit of the game. 5. Inconsistent performance immediately after putting on a good showing. 6. Massive pressure to win the cup. Argentina on the other hand is not predicted to win by any reputable analyst after Germany's unprecedented thrashing of the Brazil. They will enter the match relaxed and calm quite the opposite of the German players. And lastly this game is merely going through the motions before surrendering to the inevitability that is Lionel Messi lifting the WC as the greatest player of our time.
Lose money last game for Brazil losing? You sound mad LOL Also pretty funny coming from a guy whose team can't even score goals.
1. Germany has been choking in crucial games for over 20 years. Argentina has been choking in crucial games for even longer (1990), and more often. 1990 v. Germany. 1994 v. Bulgaria. 1994 v. Romania. 1998 v. Netherlands. 2002 v. England. 2002 v. Sweden. 2006 v. Netherlands. 2006 v. Germany. 2010 v. Germany. 2. Germany is like a youth's club, leaderless and immature - although to a lesser extent than Brazil was. Phillip Lahm is a top, world class FB and is captain of his club team, Bayern Munich as well as the national team. I suppose Argentina with Maradona as manager was a "leader?" It's also quite well known that Messi absolutely hates his current country's manager, Sabella. 3. All that the German players are thinking about right now is lifting the cup when they should be thinking about Argentina. This complacency will be their undoing. I suppose you know this as you have been in all of the Germany team functions and meetings since yesterday. And please describe Argentina's beautiful goals in this World Cup? Oh right, you can't. Several of Germany's goals have been absolutely brilliant. 5. Inconsistent performance immediately after putting on a good showing. Or the alternative from Argentina: Inconsistent performance in EVERY showing. 6. Massive pressure to win the cup. Germany can and has dealt with pressure in several games. And come through. This is not a flaw. Argentina on the other hand is not predicted to win by any reputable analyst after Germany's unprecedented thrashing of the Brazil. Except you? They will enter the match relaxed and calm quite the opposite of the German players. Actually they have just played two back-to-back 120 minute games where they barely won where Germany is the team that is rested and relaxed. And lastly this game is merely going through the motions before surrendering to the inevitability that is Lionel Messi lifting the WC as the greatest player of our time. He's hasn't been the greatest player in this tournament. Hasn't scored scored since the group stage. Worst player on the pitch vs. Netherlands.
