alright guys ... am calling it a day.. but before i leave i am gona repeat what i said when Klose was subbed. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us! We truly appreciate it and hopefully you can still score couple more goals for us in the final! A true class player and glad you took the crown from Ronaldo. Thanks again KING KLOSE!
I'm still angry at Germany for not making it 8-0. Absolutely horrible defending by Boateng and giving oscar that goal at the 90th minute mark.
I just want to congrdualatw Germany on a great historic victory. You know on this very forum, Brazilians questioned Spain's world cup because we beat Germany and the Netherlands, as if it was not an accomplishment. I openly said Germany would win this easily, and I was deemed eurocentric, and a know nothing. Now when Brazil faces Germany, they may understand the difficult task it is to eliminate Germany in a world cup semi final. Casillas said " this young German team have the talent to rule the world for years to come". He said this right after Spain eliminated Germany in 2010. His words are holding true, for the next Eurocup, and world cup Germany will be the team to beat.
That's the thing, I don't want to correct anybody. Everyone has their own opinion, I'm fine with that. But when the same 'ignorants' talk and go on and on, there's only so much you can ignore. It gets very irritating after that, which is exactly I, and I'm sure most of us, would like to avoid. That was my point.
LB, Stielke better than Lahm? That I disagree with. And wasn't Schwarzenbeck was mainly a CB.? I would add Brehme to that list though. Definitely the best German wing back according to me.
Scary to think this German squad is nothing compare to past squad. Klose, Ballack Yes, Ozil was selfish. He had a clear path to pass to Schurrle.
Nobody's posted this gif in this thread yet? Had to double-check the scoreline this morning to make sure I hadn't dreamt it. Last time I had to do that was when Bayern spanked Barcelona, but I suppose this is even more memorable since Bayern needed 2 games to score 7. I'm especially happy for Miro - the only guy remaining from the 2002 squad finally gets his revenge and overtakes fat Ronaldo's record in front of the latter's home crowd while Brazil are missing their best player (like Germany was in 2002). Incredible stuff!
Good question! Argentina are the weaker team, in my opinion (we'll find out tonight if I'm right), but I'd still much rather face the Netherlands. Several of my friends are Netherlands fans and I could probably live with them winning - I couldn't live with Argies beating us this time. Besides - should they win, Messi nuthugging would reach even more ridiculous (and less tolerable) levels than it already has.
A great thing to see in this match was an end to the static play of the last game and a return to the dynamic play where the midfielders interchange and Kroos & Khedira joined the attacks to create overloads Here is one fantastic example Ozil (who is shit remember), switches in deep midfield to take a reverse ball from Kroos He then plays his classic slide rule pass to Lahm which opens Brazil up. Lahm crosses and Kroos scores from Ozil's position on the back stick. 486670306812366848 is not a valid tweet id You can see the full buildup on ZDF It all comes from a static kick out from Neuer with nothing on, but Brazil completely don't cope with the overload down the right.
A lot of people wrote about the successful return to a 4-2-3-1 formation, but to me it looked more like a 4-1-4-1 with Khedira joining Kroos in OM, which I think was crucial. Kroos and Khedira were the engine of this performance, they were both brilliant and as I posted before the game, the fact that Khedira runs at defenses can cause a lot of trouble, opening up spaces, which is also what happened here. Brilliant stuff by our team and yes, brilliant stuff indeed by Löw devising this gameplan.
According to the commentary it was a 4-1-4-1 I thought it was great how Kroos, Mueller and Ozil shared the 10 role - although none of them played nominally as a 10
