Wednesday - ESPN FC World Cup Encore will not be bumped up four hours and moved from ESPN2 to ESPN. There will be a Game #3 of the NCAA Baseball College World Series. Note - ESPN FC World Cup Encore could be delayed due to the Major League Baseball Game - 8:00 pm ET - 11:00 pm ET - ESPN2 - going over. Thus some of the Olbermann show - 11:00 pm ET - 12:00 am ET - ESPN2 - would then be pushed back into the ESPN FC World Cup Encore time slot. Thursday - ESPN has added a half-hour to their coverage of the United States-Germany match. The Pre-Match show will now begin - 11:00 am ET - ESPN. ESPN has added a half-hour to the pre-match show for Tuesdays United States-Belgium Round Of 16 Match. The pre-match show will now begin - 3:00 pm ET - end - 3:50 pm ET. ESPN had a 90 minute SportsCenter scheduled - 2:00 pm ET-3:30 pm ET - so they are just eliminating the final half-hour of SportsCenter. We probably gain an extra 10 minutes of pre-match coverage with the change as most likely SportsCenter would have had at least 20 minutes of pre-match coverage anyway. Still its nice they added to the pre-match show. As for post-match coverage - we are still scheduled to have the following - SportsCenter - 6:00 pm ET-7:00 pm ET - ESPN. World Cup Tonight - Premiere - 7:00 pm ET-8:00 pm ET - ESPN. ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Premiere - 9:00 pm ET-11:00 pm ET - ESPN. Opps! By switching "Encore"-"Premiere", I not only change the name of the show but I made it a repeat. Of course I meant to type - ESPN FC World Cup ENCORE - Premiere - 8:00 pm ET-10:00 pm ET - ESPN2.
We have a scheduling change for Tuesday, July 1 - ESPN has decided to premiere the new 30 for 30 - Soccer Stories-White, Blue and White - Thursday, July 3 - 7:00 pm ET-8:00 pm ET - ESPN. Due to this change, we now get a three hour edition of ESPN FC World Cup Encore on Tuesday, July 1 - 8:00 pm ET-11:00 pm ET - ESPN. There are no other changes to the post-match schedule for the United States-Belgium Round Of 16 Match - SportsCenter (aka World Cup Post-Match show) - 6:00 pm ET-7:00 pm ET - ESPN. World Cup Tonight - 7:00 pm ET-8:00 pm ET - ESPN.
https://www.google.com/search?q=world+cup+scores&oq=world+cup+scores When I go to July 5th in the schedule, I see the first game on ABC or ESPN2. If this is true (and not a Google goof), something tells me the TV outlet depends on the USA's result against Belgium.
It was announced during the match as well on as the post-match show that the 12:00 pm ET Quarterfinal on Saturday, July 5 - ***Argentina-Switzerland winner vs United States-Belgium winner*** - will be shown on ABC. So the decision on what channel will be showing that Quarterfinal was made way before the result of United States-Belgium was known. So the two Quarterfinals (Friday/Saturday) that kick-off at 4:00 pm ET are on ESPN while one 12:00 pm ET kick-off (Friday) is on ESPN2 and the other 12:00 pm ET kick-off (Saturday) is on ABC. Should have been the schedule from the start. The reason the Germany-France Quarterfinal (Friday - 12:00 pm ET kick-off) is on ESPN2 and not ESPN is because of Wimbledon Mens Semifinal coverage on Friday morning/afternoon. (8:00 am ET-2:00 pm ET) If coverage of the tennis goes past 3:30 pm ET - which is the schedule start time of the Pre-Match Show for the Brazil-Colombia Quarterfinal - the tennis coverage should be moved to ESPN2 at that time. *** - I know the results of both matches that took place yesterday. I just decided to not spoil them above just in case there was someone who actually was going to wait until today to watch both matches and for some reason before doing decided to check this thread - probably to see if there was a change in the World Cup TV Schedule. It has happened before with the "English Premiere League on NBC thread" (I posted part of a NBC Sports Group press release early one Monday morning that had results of the Sunday matches.) and it got a few people upset so I'm just covering my well you know what. I know I don't have to do it but I'll wait till later today (after 6:00 pm ET) to post any info with the final results of yesterdays quarterfinals.
Thursday, July 3 ESPN FC World Cup Encore show will be replayed - Friday, July 4 - 2:00 am ET-3:00 am ET - ESPN2. There is no replay currently scheduled for the Wednesday, July 2 ESPN FC World Cup Encore show.
bill hofheimer @bhofheimer_espn Today marks 20 yrs since #COL's Andres Escobar was shot and killed. If you dont know this story, recommend @30for30's The Two Escobars. Didn't realize that it was 7:00 pm ET already - thought it was around 6:00 pm ET. Well if you haven't seen it and missed the 7:00 pm ET showing - you can watch it via the link above.

Good choices. If it were up to me I'd rather pick Daniel Mann than over Jon Champion but it's all excellent. Glad Moreno didn't bring Palomo along for the ride.
World Cup Tonight/ESPN FC World Cup Encore TV Schedule - ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN News - Friday, July 4 - Tuesday, July 8. Happy Fourth Of July to all of my fellow Americans! Friday, July 4 - 10:00 pm ET-11:00 pm ET - World Cup Tonight - Premiere - ESPN2. (There is a LIVE NASCAR race - 7:30 pm ET-10:00 pm ET - on ESPN2 before it. NASCAR races tend to run long at times - even with no rain delays - so theres a good chance World Cup Tonight will not start on time.) Saturday, July 5 - 12:00 am ET-2:00 am ET - ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Premiere - ESPN2. (There is a LIVE NASCAR race - 7:30 pm ET-10:00 pm ET - on ESPN2 earlier in the evening of Friday, July 4. The times I listed above (and in a previous post) are when the pre-match coverage of each Quarterfinal starts. ESPN has decided for some reason to start the pre-match coverage of this Quarterfinal match a half-hour early - 3:00 pm ET. ESPN is going to promote this start time during coverage of the other three Quarterfinals. Like what happened with the United States-Portugal match, it may show up as a separate listing in your on-screen TV listings as "2014 FIFA World Cup Match Day" and only appear in the 3:00 pm ET-3:30 pm ET timeslot. So if your recording the match, make sure you start your recording a half-hour early or record that program - so you get the whole pre-match coverage.
Well as expected the NASCAR race went long - because of a rain delay at the start - and the rest of the ESPN2 schedule last night (World Cup Tonight/Olbermann Show/ESPN FC World Cup Encore) was off a half-hour. (The NASCAR race ended around 10:30 pm ET.) Hopefully you added some time (a half-hour at least) to your recordings and got both shows complete. On my side, it didn't matter what time World Cup Tonight/ESPN FC World Cup Encore was on as I forgot to set my recorder ahead of time. So I missed the premiere showing of World Cup Tonight that was on ESPN2 and had to record the replay that was on ESPN News this morning - 3:00 am ET-4:00 am ET. As for ESPN FC World Cup Encore - I got home from my Aunts in time to record that one which started around 12:30 am ET.

World Cup TV Schedule - ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN News - Saturday, July 12. 2:00 am ET - 3:00 am ET - ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Friday, July 11 - Repeat - ESPN2. 3:00 am ET - 4:00 am ET - ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Friday, July 11 - Repeat - ESPN2. The reason that ESPN2 is repeating the same show - back to back on the same channel - The Friday, July 11-ESPN FC World Cup Encore show was supposed to have been shown - 7:00 pm ET - 9:00 pm ET - on ESPN with a replay on Saturday, July 12 - 2:00 am ET - 4:00 am ET - on ESPN2. Sometime in the last 24 hours, ESPN decided to mess with their TV schedules for today (due to the rumor that Lebron James was going to sign with Cleveland today, which did happen around 12:00 pm ET) and Fridays, July 11-ESPN FC World Cup Encore show was one of the many shows on ESPN/ESPN2 that were changed. The Friday, July 11-ESPN FC World Cup Encore show was shown - 8:00 pm ET - 9:00 pm - ESPN2. So the show got a hat-trick of changes - started an hour later, was only on for an hour and was moved to a different channel! Since ESPN needed two hours to fill up the replay time slot - 2:00 am ET-4:00 am ET - ESPN2 - they just decided to just repeat the hour long Friday, July 11-ESPN FC World Cup Encore show back to back on the same channel. 7:00 am ET - 8:00 am ET - ESPNs 30 For 30 Soccer Stories - White, Blue and White - ESPN2. 10:00 am ET - 12:00 pm ET - ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Thursday, July 10 - Repeat - ESPN News. 12:00 pm ET - 1:00 pm ET - ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Friday, July 11 - Repeat - ESPN2. 1:00 pm ET - 2:00 pm ET - ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Friday, July 11 - Repeat - ESPN News. 2:00 pm ET - 3:30 pm ET - SportsCenter - ESPN. 3:30 pm ET - 3:50 pm ET - KIA World Cup Match Pre-Show - ESPN. 3;50 pm ET - 6:00 pm ET - World Cup Third Place Match - Brazil vs Netherlands - ESPN. 6:00 pm ET - 7:00 pm ET - SportsCenter - ESPN. 7:00 pm ET - 8:00 pm ET - World Cup Tonight - Premiere - ESPN. 8:00 pm ET - 10:00 pm ET - ESPN FC World Cup Encore - Premiere - ESPN. 11:00 pm ET - 12:00 am ET - World Cup Tonight - Saturday, July 12 - Repeat - ESPN News.
