Yea I've been saying it for awhile. I had half a mind to respond to the people saying "Colombia isn't that much better" nonsense ... this team is legit. So far they've looked better than both Brazil and Argentina, and it'll be interesting to see if they can keep it up. Their defense seems reliable enough, and man do they have some weapons. James is stealing Neymar's spotlight right now... will be a great battle between 2 rising stars when they play. He's infinitely more likeable than Neymar too.
His goal was simply world class, I could watch the replay all day long..I hope Colombia handles the trash-can team called Brazil, because in my opinion the hosts havent shown anything convincing at all. Bunch of luck, referees, home advantage did the job for them but they will get exposed against bigger teams.
(this was for the Confederations) jokes apart, I used to think that OFC deserved a spot too, but realistically, if Australia was still there it would always been them, and now it's New Zealand. It's too bad though.
I disagree. I wanted Mexico to win but the Dutch dominated the second half and ultimately deserved to win. Mexico, kind of like the JNT, aren't built to withstand wave after wave of pressure. They're not good at defending set pieces yet they ended up allowing something like ten corners and it was no surprise when Huntelaar knocked one down for Sneidjer to score. It's the World Cup so I understand the temptation to try to protect the lead and steal a win versus favored opposition but Mexico should have tried to continue playing their game after they scored. It was somewhat similar to our game vs. the a Ivory Coast, of course the difference being that Mexico played much, much better than we did in that game.
Only 2 goals for him and the first was a mistaken penalty for Uruguay. Good in every aspect of a gk job. Nice player. And finally GREECE OUT with their boring football and so on.
have a feeling Netherlands will kill them though. They will be missing some vital players. Also Japan was the last team to beat Costa Rica. I wonder what Honda thinks about that now hah
