i dont think adding another forward is good. we have already created chances and gucci is clearly our best striker. we just need to create MORE chances for him. instead of 1-3 a game, more like 5-6. then a goal will come for sure. to do this, our midfield needs to attack. as long as ando covers the defense i do not see what is wrong with this. we will attack with 5 and have 5 at the back. nice balanced play.

I agree. We already made some good opportunities against Argentina. We all know Bosnia is no where near Argentina. So it will be much easier against them. So we should not neglect defense either. Gucci is enough. If our midfielders provide him enough chances he will definitely score. And do not forget: If Argentina beats Nigeria even with 1 goal any win for us means we are not out. So one goal would have sufficed. I hope Argentina scores more than one so that we do not need to take our chances are coin toss.

He had probably the best possible Tactic against Argentina (a compact midfield, 'disregarding' the weak Argentine flanks), but against Nigeria it was too defensive. However, his true courage will show against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Personally, I would like to see Jahanbakhsh from the beginning, but these are just details.

I'm sorry no bosnian is here now but as you can surely understand this loss was devastating for us
after the own goal against argentina und the not give goal now we just feel robbed even though we could have and should have played better
i somehow hope iran qualifies but i also hope bosnia shows what they can do against iran
congrats for iran an nigeria for their games tonight
    best of luck

jahanbakhsh is best used as a sub. i think we should just stick to our line up vs argentina but ATTACK more. then in the 2nd half, if we are not winning, bring in jahanbakhsh in the 60th minute for shojaie. and if we are still not winning in the 70th minute, bring on haddadifar or ansarifard for nekounam and rahmani for hajfsafi or dejagah. of course, had khalatbari been included, we should have put him on in the 60th min too in place of hajsafi.

Can't believe a World Cup team is celebrating a loss. Where is the pride? Doesn't matter what the pundits said, a loss is a loss, you won't get points for holding off an immensely poor Argentina. Costa Rica won S. American champions Uruguay, with Cavani, they won European giant Italy, with Pirlo, Balotelli and Buffon. Costa Rica has little or no football pedigree. I suppose they should declare public holidays. Bosnia lost a game they could've drawn if not for an OG. They looked much stronger than the Argies and Nigerians still regard them as that team that stood the most chance to trash us in Group F. The Argentines are familiar foes, it will just be the Messi vs. Enyeama show for us again and we hope Enyeama pockets the little man as usual :D. Don't expect a 2-0 loss though. We're as desperate as the Argies to avoid France and Holland. Good luck to the remaining teams in Group F

Yeah it was only a loss on paper! Our penalty was ruled out! Besides the celebration is all about proving how great we are. The greatest people in football declared Iran as a great team and you are here talking these things?

The thing is we have a good chance of going through. You are not gonna do as good as we did! So I think a 1-0 or 2-0 is very probable. It is all on us to score and go through.
(EVEN YOU KNOW HOW GREAT WE WERE)

i agree that we should not celebrate a loss. even if we were robbed we still lost. we can be proud but its wrong to celebrate it. if we drew then we should have celebrated.

as for nigeria, your goal is to make it to the 2nd round and that is all. you cannot afford to attack argentina in order to get a weaker round of 16 opponent. you have to go for the draw so you will make it to the 2nd round, and then celebrate like crazy if you do. if nigeria are smart, they will defend vs argentina and hit out cautiously on counters, just like Iran did. you will get destroyed if you attack argentina.

Haters always have something to say. No one is celebrating a loss, people are happy because Iran fought heroically and everyone from all around the world are praising us. People are happy because we fought and should have drawn one of the best teams in the world.
Don't respond to these haters, they are very unhappy to see Iran do well. If we had lost 3-0 or 4-0 they would have come here and said "SEee? we told you! YOu suuuck", now that Argentina had to score in the 91 minute with the best player in the world to beat us they come here and say "Waaaow it's incredible that people celebrate a loss. Omagad that's so stupeeed" .

Let go the hate behind my fellow Iranians. It was a remarkable performance yesterday night. Bosnia is next and our boys won't disappoint.

    HELL YEAH!!!!!!!
I also think we should put the whole Argentina game behind. It is all over. We had a good time though:-D
We are going to get Bosnia and as you said our boys will not disappoint us. Nigeria will lose to Argentina. Maybe with one goal difference and maybe with more. Either way we will keep fighting and pave our own way to the next round. WE CAN DO IT! I believe it with all my heart.
As I have always said: HAVE SOME FAITH IN OUR TEAM AND WAIT FOR GOOD THINGS TO HAPPEN!

I'm sorry, I don't have to whine and moan. Argentina won, you lost. I'm happy, you're sad. And congratulations for trying to make football boring, you almost got it. Thank god Messi scored that beautiful goal.

You are happy and you should be! Argentina won a game without deserving it! And we are sad because we lost to the referee not to Argentina.
We will make it to the next round.
I love it when people act like this. It shows how great we are and how scared they are:))

If we make it to the next round (I hope we will) I don't care who we should play against! Cause we are not some coward team. We are ready for everyone!

Our boys should realize it is a great opportunity. We can rewrite history!

Shocking to see Cameroon and England so high up on the defending ranking :)

Mexico and Nigeria the only teams yet to lose a goal.

Go here and read the comments, from unbiased fans (exclude the iranians and argentine comments):

Most people say it was not a penalty. Get over it. Zabaleta went for the ball. If it was for Iran this would be the most boring WC of all time. At least Argentina is trying to play, even though they suck.

I love how the number 5 Iranian player falls to his knees when he sees the ball hitting the net.

You know what? The fact that Iranians have let go of the game and are trying to focus on Bosnia and you are already stuck there shows how desperate you are. Let it go! The game is over. Argentina sucked and we were great. The whole world admit that. Just go check out the websites! Let it go! We lost to the ref not to Argentina but we believe that is a part of football.
So let it go. Iranian posters don't respond to haters. Let them suffer!
Just focus on our last game

dont worry, argentina will beat nigeria by 2 or 3 goals cause news is that the real higuain, di maria and aguero would show up to play, instead of those impostors that played yesterday

hahaha! I don't need to let anything go! Last time I checked Argentina won 1-0. We are in the next round, you are not. Its just funny to read that only Iranians -and some English haters- think that was a penalty and that you played better than us.

you celebrated against us as if you won the world cup. then di maria wasted 1.5/4 mins of injury time (should have been a yellow card.. more stupid refereeing) because argentina were trembling and scared of Iran. we showed the world we could match you. we made argentina look terrible. enjoy your thrashing in the quarterfinals.
