Let the dead rot in peace. Let's concentrate on us...and by that I mean wait until all is said and done in August.
Can't blame Cesc in this case. Wenger better have some great players lined up. He better not be nickel and diming again.
Not like Greedybayor or Donkey Face or Persie. Not like Kolo or Clichy either. Not like TH14 either. Perhaps a combination of all of the above.
anyone crying over Cesc going to Chelsea is sad. We have Aaron Ramsey who is better, and Ozil who is at least as good at creating. Cesc is a fraud. His time at Barca showed it. Shoot, end of his time at Arsenal showed it. I am sick and tired of the Cult of Cesc and I am glad its over.
I prefer Özil and Ramsey of course. But I defintely prefer Cesc over Cazorla. We would have been much more dangerous. Santi is nowhere good enough. That said, I am willing to give AW the benefit of the doubt IF he brings someone like Grietzmann or DiMaria over.
the boy is a fraud. Lets be honest, he went to Barcelona and they got worse. They are better without him. Arsene didnt want him. I dont like Santi either, but Cesc cannot play out left. And Cesc is a souped-up Juan Mata.
Cesc is a good player. The reason why so much of us is mad is because just that. Like someone else said Ramsey is at least as good (i still think Cesc is better) and we have Ozil. Gotta love Wenger for the loyalty for his players and it's hard to admit but getting Cesc would block them most likely. I'm just really hoping we get a top quality Dmid and CF. If we do we will do just fine next season.
You're exaggerating just a bit. Santi was good enough to be the Arsenal player of the year the season before last. He regressed this season, but his role also changed. He was injured at the same time that Ozil came in and Ramsey stepped up. Santi was good enough for me in the 17th minute of the FA Cup.
Yeah, I also don't get the Santi hate. If we do some good business this summer and strengthen the squad appropriately none of this Cesc stuff will matter.
AFAIAC, he can rot in hell. He is wearing the colols of a team that is despicable in its roots. He is playing with the likes of Terry, Ramires and Ivanovic and for Mourinho one of the most vile individuals....There is no way I can have any semblance of support for him.
Arsenal didn't want him. He's going to get paid GOBS of money to play for Chelsea. Hard for him or Arsenal fans to be mad at that. That said, when he inevitably scores an important goal against Arsenal and Wenger runs out Sanogo or some other second-rate player to try to get the goal back, I'll be as angry as anyone that we didn't find room for Fabregas. EDIT-
http://www.statsbomb.com/2014/06/the-best-young-prospect-in-europe-2014-alvaro-morata/ As for the Cesc thing, let's hope it gets brought up when Wenger says that the quality he was looking for wasn't available.
The problem is that we usually don't do good business and strengthen the squad appropriately. Would anyone still have an issue missing out on Cesc if we bring in Balotelli, Bender, Griezmann, Aurier and a backup GK/CB that anyone has heard of? No way. Knowing us we will sign Morata, Vela, and a Silvestre MK3 for RB and call it a day. In that scenario, which is far more likely, missing out on Cesc for 27m is a big misstep.
Where do you get that quote? Obviously true but not something one would admit on the day one signs and pledges allegiance to another club? EDIT ah ok http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...sc-Fabregas-signs-Chelsea-five-year-deal.html
Jeremy Wilson on Vela: @JWTelegraph · 17m On Vela, Arsenal ready to buy him back from Sociedad for £3.25m as per clause but also may well sell him on again for more
I had half expected Fabregas to be announced while premiering the Puma kit. I wonder how long until he kisses the Chelsea badge.
