Guys, I would check with paypal to see if you have buyers protection for tickets.
When I phoned paypal in the UK they said paying for tickets are not protected, as a result I pulled out of doing a deal.

I made one sale and one purchase, both via PayPal. In both cases, it worked out.

In both cases, the person mailing the tickets got the money via PayPal before shipping the tickets, so that is standard.

In exchange, the seller should provide a legible photograph of the tickets beforehand and a tracking number once it ships. (Sometimes it takes a day or two for the shipping number to appear in the tracking system).

The hardest part is arranging the shipping to an appropriate location at the right time. Fed Ex in Brazil was hard to arrange and took a week to get to London. Fed Ex in Luxembourg was easy and took only 1 day to arrive in the US.

So, if shipping, yes, you risk losing money via PayPal, so you can ask for a reference of someone who has done business with them before (perhaps on EBay), or a LinkedIn or Facebook account so you can better judge their character.

Regardless, yes, there is risk, so I'd only recommend doing it with people charging near face value, or if you are willing to lose the money. For me the risk/reward made sense, and I didn't want to be dealing with tickets in Brazil.

If you aren't comfortable with PayPal, then you can find someone selling tix in Brazil. That also has its risks, such as them being fake tickets, or someone mugging you for tix or money.

I don't know PayPal's exact policy, but, yes, I think you can get a refund if you never receive the tix. If you receive them too late to use them, I don't know what happens.

For me, PayPal was a reasonable approach.
