I am flying into Salvador on Saturday and will look to see if there is a kiosk at the airport. I hope so, really don't want to go to Iguatemi shopping if I can avoid it. If it's possible to pick up at airport, I'll let you all know.
Running into a similar situation. Lost my card that I bought with and got a new one. I called citibank and they said it should be ok since it links to the same account but I emailed FIFA. I'll let you know what they say.
From the fifa site... Starting this Sunday 1 June 2014, seven additional Ticket Collection Locations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup begin operating in the airports of Belo Horizonte (Confins), Brasilia, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro (Galeão and Santos Dumont), Salvador and in Viracopos/Campinas. The opening date for two further airport locations at Guarulhos and Porto Alegre are yet to be confirmed. In addition, three other collection points in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo also become operational. For information on the locations, please visit FIFA.com/tickets.
Just checked where the kiosks will be located in the airport in Salvador. They aren't on the passenger side, but rather in the main entrance area next to the post office.
So now the ticket machines are up and running in the airports. It would be great if anyone coming through the airports in the near future could give us some feedback on the situation there. My main concern is that whether they are open 24/7 or not. My brother comes through GIG at 5am on game day and is hoping to pick up tickets immediately on landing. That would be so much more convenient than waiting around for opening times or a side trip to Botafogo before the match.
Yes please whoever picks up tickets at the airport let us know the full experience. Hard to believe GRU airport doesn't have a ticket collection machine yet.
Harder to believe that Corinthians Arena doesn't have all the seats screwed in, seven years after they decided to build it!! Maybe it's something about São Paulo?!?
Weird! I came through the Salvador airport yesterday about two in the afternoon. when I didn't see anything, I asked at the Information counter, where I was informed there was noplace in the airport to pick up tickete! And the only place was Iguatemi. I'm going back tomorrow and check again.
Supposed to start today though wasn't it? June 1st? I'm arriving in Salvador tomorrow evening. Hope I'll be able to get hold of mine there.
My father just arrived at GRU to pickup my 49 tonight(June 1st, 8:40 local time) and the F@$%! machine was there but OUT of ORDER(welcome to Brazil, I guess). By the way, What day are you going to BH #49?
I'm giving my cousin my credit card this week so he can pick up my tickets before I go. I get to Belo for match #49 at 1040. Got a flight from TAM from Rio for cheap. Still don't know my seats yet all I know is they are category 1

We still can not choose any airport pick up point on in a FIFA account, can't we ? I am wandering if there is no appointment rules for airport ticket collection.
Does anyone know anything whether Congonhas will have a kiosk or not? The ticket guide mentions them, but the article doesn't.
It will be fine, just give yourself some time in case there is a big line. Otherwise it will be just fine. Get to your hotel room, and then go get your tickets as you explore the city. Easy as cake.
I picked up my tickets today at the Salvador airport. No line at all at about noon. The only hitch came when the young woman there would not accept the Xeroxed copy of my passport, even though I had my FIFA receipt printed out. I just don't walk around with my passport, there's hell to pay if it's lost or stolen, and most places, like cambios, accept the xerox. Fortunately, I had my California drivers license with me since I was driving, so they accepted that. I didn't ask if it was open 24 hours, sorry. PS. Never asked for my credit card. And FYI, the counter is on the ground floor to the far right from where you leave the baggage collection area.
Arrived in Salvador and picked mine up with no problem. Machines and staff there to guide you through. It's after baggage claim. If you're coming in from international flight, as soon as you've gone through customs and come out to the arrival hall, walk down the aisle to the right and you'll find it by the end close to elevators and stairs.
hmmmmm so not just a ticket machine??? that isnt good. I was hoping just to put my wifes credit card into the machine and out pops the tickets.Rather than go through all the bulls**t of notified letters and copies of passports etc.
