Hi, how did you solve the error after clicking the payment method (post http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/world-cup-travel-natal-and-recife.1996983/page-34#post-30255369 )? On the form you have to fill in a brazilian "CEP". So I filled in the CEP of Recife. As adress I filled in my home adress. Do I have to fill in a brazilian adress there?
Thank you... another question... I am buying tickets for me and my friend... so I enter my passport number twice? or do we need to buy our tickets separately and enter our passport numbers then? It doesnt seem to give me the option of changing the 2nd passenger name??
hey we are looking for tickets for brazil vs mexico as well we are still going to fortaleza anyway......how are u guys getting there??
Natal by FIFATV You have to watch on youtube, here it doesn't work. To see the video just click in "World Cup Host City: Natal" and then a youtube tab will open.
Saw your post about the place in Boa Viagem...you still need to sell your spot there? That could work for my group. How much did you have to pay for it? Markbanshee@yahoo.com Thanks, Mark
How were people able to finally book bus tickets? I set up an account using my passport # but am still experiencing an error when I click the credit card button... Help!
Booking the bus is impossible. Why can't some-one in Brazil fix this. There better be enough buses laid on when I get there.
Anybody looking for a place to stay in Natal during the USA game? I'm rolling solo and got a room with two beds at the Rifoles Praia Hotel in Ponta Negra from June 15th-18th.
Hi, I've heard about the Dunes of Genipabu (Natal(. It sounds like a great day trip. I was reading the reviews about it, but didn't come across any recommended ways or prices to hire a buggy. Does anyone have any recommendations on a company or buggy guide? Also, what's a fair price? I saw on one site that you could have 4 people. Is it worth it to split the cost with another couple? Any other recommendations would be great. I would like to finalize a booking before I get to Natal for the WC. Thanks!
Anyone have any reviews of the Hotel Marsol Beach in Natal or the Cult Hotel in Recife? Will be getting into Natal the 15th and plan on taking the bus up to Recife on the 19th. Looking to meet up with fellow Yanks! Have a lower level Cat 3 extra for USA Ghana for those still looking for a ticket!
Hello. We live in Natal and would be happy to give recommendations for anyone coming into our city. I'm originally from Illinois so you're not dealing with English as a second language/cultural issues when you ask questions. Those of you wishing to go to Pipa I would strongly recommend. It is a beautiful place full of beautiful people. Realize it will be beach and night life. Pipa is a very small city which is its charm but don't expect all the amenities. The pousadas there range from 5 star to OMG WHAT WAS THAT! , so do your homework, or ask, we have many friends who live in Pipa and let us know about the location. There are many day excursions out of Natal, anything from dune buggy rides in the sand dunes, camel riding, snorkeling/scuba diving, to deep sea marlin fishing. Ponta Negra beach is always a recommend, find a table with umbrella and hang out in the surf. If you have never surfed you can take lessons, they are now giving lessons on stand up paddle surfing at Ponta Negra. Try the torpedo that is towed behind a speed boat, lots of fun in the waves!! I would stay away from the urban beaches near the fort/river, Praia Meio etc., especially if you look extremely "gringo". If you need to ask what that means, you probably are. REMEMBER SUNSCREEN, the sun is direct and I see miserable red bodies every day here. You will be flying into our new airport. The news last Saturday said the taxi ride to the hotel area along Via Costiera near the convention center will be around R$65. We just picked up friends, it was about a 50 min. drive back to the city at 8PM, during the day you will run into traffic, so figure an hour and a half plus depending on traffic to Ponta Negra area. I love our city and I would be happy to assist if at all possible.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Price should be around R$350 for a day trip. You can get for around R$300 but during World Cup I seriously doubt it. Gringo price may go up beginning June 12....LOL You should be able to have the entire buggy for that price, one person up to 4. you can rent them on Ponta Negra beach at kiosks or you can research here to have an idea although it is in Portuguese. http://www.passeiosdebuggy.com.br/passeios/ver/1 Remember also if you pay cash to ask for A VISTA which is basically a cash discount. If they balk, then walk, they will change their mind if they want your business..... If you know the day you would like to go let me know and I can check with a couple of guys I know.
@Brasil freak I would be looking at doing a half-day tour with a buggy. Is it best to go to the kiosk at the beach and arrange it or do it through the hotel. I am gringo but speak fluent portuguese (currently living in SP).
I've posted some information about Natal in page 29 and 30, and also about transportation to Pipa, Recife and Fortaleza. You might want to take a look at that.
Any recommendations on good bars to watch the matches in Pipa? Also what are good bars/clubs/restaurants in general?
two more mexicans.. we're flying into Natal on the 13th, then to Fortaleza on the 17th, Recife on the 22nd and back to Natal on the 23rd
@azevedof @Brasil freak or anyone else that has landed in Natal, do you know if they have ticket machines at the airport in order to be able to collect our game tickets?
I've been to the new airport saturday to check it out, but haven't see the ticket machine there. I don't know if the'll have. Anyway, the Fifa Ticketing Centre in Natal is at the Cidade Jardim Shopping Mall (Ponta Negra/Capim Macio area). Here is the address: Shopping Cidade Jardim: Av. Eng. Roberto Freire, 2920 - Capim Macio, Natal - RN, CEP: 59080-900
From FIFA website http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/ticket-information/ticket-collection/index.html ticket collection at the following airports: Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Sao Paulo...so no Natal or Recife
