I meant the character not the nationality of the actor. If people doubt a story of an American player getting a big budget treatment from Hollywood, then it's less likely of a foreign footballer getting the same Hollywood treatment. Now small budget? Sure. Artsy award nominee? Aye. Surprisingly for a nation that created it, how many actual quality football films has Britain produced? Besides when was the last time anyone flocked to a Brosnan or Farrell film?
I don't care if people flock to their movies or not as long as they make stuff like Tailor of Panama or In Bruges every once in a while.
I hope this one gets finished someday. It looks very cool . . . He was referred to as "Captain America" at Glasgow Rangers: http://www.thedenimkit.com/2013/01/07/the-myth-of-the-unfinished-claudio-reyna-documentary-video/
Thanks, Sam Ham. What does one need to do to get the updated E60 Clint Dempsey documentary on at USA Soccer? http://usasoccerarchives.com/index.php?
I figured it out bro, thanks for turning me on to this site. I hope more people start using it so we can get a good catalog of US games going.
Does one have to download the program from usasoccerarchives.com, or is there a way to simply click on the program and watch it without downloading it?
if someone has a copy, they should upload it a torrent site like Piratebay so it's more readily able for us without having to sign up to anything.
I haven't been able to find the first episode of "Inside" anywhere. Peeved to have missed it. Anybody have any info how to find it before tomorrow's second episode? (That's scheduled for tomorrow night at 10pm ET on ESPN, FYI.)
Did anyone watch the 2nd Episode of "Inside: U.S. Soccer's March To Brazil" on ESPN? I missed it since I'm in Montreal with no access to ESPN in my hotel. Bummer.
It was 30 minutes. All future episodes will also be 30 minutes. Only the first was scheduled to be an hour.
Honestly you didnt miss a whole lot, features on Howard, Edu and Gonzales, some training footage and some footage of Jurgen picking out his pants and shoes
And the beep test. And lots of discussion of the coach's ideas on how to build a team. And just a rare glimpse into what these guys are actually all about as people....the ones we talk about incessantly on here. Honestly, if you're not enjoying this, I don't know what more you could ask for.
Of course the editing deliberately avoided letting us know just how everyone did on the beep test. We just saw a bunch of guys out of breath getting handed towels at the end.
Episode 2 was great. Love getting to know a little more about the players. Hope they continue to do pieces in Brazil
Anybody know if last night's episode (#2) is repeating in the next few days? (My DVR screwed up.) I found a bunch of airtimes for this series in my Comcast guide, but it doesn't specify which episodes are which.
Right, thanks, I saw that. But I'm hoping to DVR all the episodes for friends' viewing before the World Cup. UPDATE: US Soccer just tweeted that the ep will be re-aired at 2 p.m. ET Saturday. (On ABC, at that.)
