Quick question guys, I'm leaving for Brazil June 2nd. I have category 3 tickets to Ivory Coast vs Japan and am still wanting to attend that match, but I saw on Viagogo that category 2 tickets are selling for $35 each in a group of 2.

How trustworthy is Viagogo? I've tried searching the forums on here and online but have seen mixed reviews. Should I attempt to resell to fifa and buy via Viagogo to save about $70? Or just not worry about it?

are the cat-2 seats really that much better than your cat-3 seats? Also, how are you going to dump your cat-3s for a game that's has so low demand? Or I guess you just plan to eat them?

As for the trustworthiness of viagogo, I don't have firsthand knowledge/experience but I think it's one of the more trustworthy ones out there.

As for that match, I'd love to see it too (Japan is my #2 team), but my schedule/budget doesn't allow for it..

 

My girlfriend's family lives in Recife and I'm sure they would love to pay face value category 3 tickets.

But I attended Italy vs Japan last year at the confederations cup and it was an incredible game! 4-3 Italy won, but Japan hit the cross bar in the closing minutes it was getting exciting.

And thanks for your input, I think I'll just hold off on my tickets for now because I'm a little skeptical of Viagogo.

 

They are usually available on the FIFA site. Right now it's just cat-1 and cat-2, but that game has had availability since the start. I'm hoping Japan advances and I get to see them in one of my knockout round matches. To me this is one of those low ticket demand games that could end being one of the more fun and exciting games to see. It is the opener for both sides though, and those can be conservative and boring. Note also that this game is the only one out of the whole 64 that kicks off at 10:00PM and ends at midnight local.

I also have a Cat 1 ticket "in hand" for the Ivory Coast vs Japan game in Recife on Saturday 14 June which I cannot make as I have to be in Brasilia for Switzerland vs Ecuador the next day. My "base" will be in Brasilia, I will sell it to any football lover at exact face value, as others have kindly done to me, or we can meet in London, or there is still time for fedex/dhl to other countries but you will have to cover the cost. Either way i will be in Sao Paulo as well for day 1 party...please pm me if interested.
