Yeah, turns out check my trip or whatever only works with one of the major international reservation systems. It doesn't cover the three or four other ones. Tripit seems to be pretty good, but it does require more input.
Tripit Pro is generally pretty accurate, but does require a bit more work, and a subscription if you want to use the full benefits of the app/website.
I didn't ever try the free version, but the pro version is pretty cool. Luckily, I have a Barclaycard Arrival Mastercard, and one of the benefits is a free pro subscription to the app.
Same here. I have my Avianca and TAM flights nicely sorted out on Check my Trip, but I have a couple of Azul flights that just wont show up, and I would really like to be able to see all my flights on one app...
I don't have the app but just manually verified my TAM and Gol flights in the past hour. https://compre2.voegol.com.br/RetrieveBooking.aspx and www.tam.com.br - check your reservation I had to discover some changes for myself. I'd recommend doing the same particularly if you booked through expedia etc. Bookings were fine but you don't always get notified of changes.
Hey everyone. Wondered your recommendations for traveling to the round of 16 USA match in Porte Algre or Salvador. GOL has flex ticket that seem like the way to go but am wondering will the price be that big a difference if I just wait to see if the USA qualifies then buy instead of trying to get a refund if they don't get out of group? I have 4 tickets to that game and am hoping it happens Any advise is appreciated!
I'd buy a flex ticket to one of them and cancel it afterwards if you don't use it. Once the destination is set, flight prices should skyrocket.
Anybody who is waiting on a refund from Avianca actually get their money back yet? I am on day 20 and still nothing... reached out to them on Twitter and they responded and claimed to have tried calling me and have since gone silent...
Now you have me worried. I booked a one-way on Avianca for June 25, but their website makes it difficult to check the reservation
I can see my Avianca reservations on checkmytrip.com.. all you need is reservation number which comes in the confirmation mail which Avianca sends..
Their website is garbage... I think they recently updated it too, but it only works half of the time.. you select English as your language, they still take you to Portuguese areas... I mean I know a little Portuguese and theres always Google Translate, but its still a pain in the ass... and then when I try to email them about my issue (through the site), they just keep giving me error messages to try again later... and apparently they say you can only follow-up on ticket inquiries based on how you booked, so for example if you booked online you can only work through online channels (if they work), etc..... funny thing is that in their emails regarding your ticket, they say you shouldnt reply to the email where the email came from, and give you another email address where you should direct your inquiries to, the problem is that they give you the "noreply" email where the automatic email first came from!! lol im telling you, this country is teaching me patience the hard way
Did you book it before they updated their website? If so, you have to update your reservation code. https://agencias.avianca.com.br/guiTraducaoDeLocalizador.aspx

Thanks for posting that. Am going to aim to get to the airports for my domestic flights at least two hours before departure, as well as doing the online check ins. It might sound extreme but better be safe than sorry.
Looks like a lot of people in my group (if not all 15) had flights changed out of Recife on the 27th. Originally on a nonstop from REC to RIO at 335am, I am now flying out at 225am and stopping in Sao Paulo. One of my friends had his flight moved back to 3pm (!) They were notified by Expedia, Orbitz did not notify me but I have put in a contact.
Heads up everyone who is still trying to finalize flights. Gol is having a great sale this weekend only. The return leg of some flights (based on certain restrictions) 39 reais before taxes. I just booked Sao Paulo-Rio for about $170 US return for 2 people.
Same problem on the 24th. I'm requesting one of the 2 direct flights that evening or either of the morning indirect ones leaving at 10.12 but no these are still for sale on the website but they want to change me to a long layover. Screw the gringo who won't fly with us again anyway. Can they do this? My 4th call to expedia today.
Quoting from a TV Show I watch, "if it makes you feel better, they probably didn't think about it at all". They're probably doing that to everyone in the middle of the mess.
