I dropped it at the end of the PL season. Not worth the $16/month that FiOS charges to get a few FA Cup and CL matches. I will eat these words when a big Arsenal match is on FS+. FiOS only has it in SD - for $16/month.
It seemed like any Arsenal CL match they showed on FS+ they eventually replayed on FS2 or something. I think only one match ended up not being replayed until the next day. All the FA Cup games have been on fox 1/2/normal fox as well, thanks to the high profile draws. So i'm glad to have gotten rid of it.
It's a good excuse to get out to a pub too. Cheaper to go out and meet the local supporters instead of paying money to the Fox bs. Not every day you get an excuse to go drink in the morning with the claim your saving money.
It's BS that Arsenal's FA Cup match tomorrow is not going to be in HD while the hull v sheffield utd match is!
False information here, I will be watching both matches in HD from the couch in my living room. There wasnt a single Arsenal match this season not broadcast in HD.
Looks like Xfinity finally added Extra Time for me. May have already been but I haven't needed it yet. Surprised Everton wasn't NBCSN's pick, but glad I don't need to hook the computer up to the TV.
As of right now, 4/27, NOBODY in the US is planning to air the FA Cup final. Not Fox Soccer, not NBCSN, not ESPN... NOBODY. Maybe that will change in the coming weeks, but its looking like the FA's plan to give the Cup final its own day is not to the benefit of Arsenal fans here in the states.
Huh?? Fox has the fa cup. Not nbc or espn. Why would fox not air it??? Did you check the main fox network not just the fox sports channels?
Watch this space. When they know, you'll know: http://www.livesoccertv.com/match/1142443/arsenal-vs-hull-city/
Basically I checked the Fox Soccer 2 go website this morning, wanting to sign up. I will be playing golf the day of the FA Cup (annual golf trip) and figured that would be the only way to see the game. Even if Fox hasn't yet decided whether to air the final on Fox, or one of their many fox sports channels, I thought surely they'd alreay be promoting it as part of their fox soccer 2 go package online.... NOPE! So what's the deal? I get emails from fox soccer 2 go constantly promoting their service. I even got one yesterday, and they basically have 2 games to promote: this week's champions league semis. That's it. They dont own the rights to the champs league final game. I think ESPN does. But you'd think if they have the rights to the FA Cup final, they'd mention it in thier online soccer tv sales materials... you know, to make money from it. Nothing. All of the other FA Cup games have been offered via fox soccer 2 go... it doesnt add up.
Also, that's not how television rights work. Fox does have the champions league rights and they broadcast the final on the main OTA channel. They have all of the FA cup as well, and they'll announce it when they know what they're doing.
Wouldn't FOX be contractually obligated to show the final here in the states? Otherwise why even bid for the package and go through all the games beforehand?
According to World Soccer Talk, FOX is airing it. http://worldsoccertalk.com/premier-league-tv-schedule/
I hope FOX learned their lesson and not have Gus Johnson call/butcher this final like he did last year, I hope they will play it safe and air the iconic Martin Tyler PBP instead of Gujo. ANYONE BUT GUS JOHNSON, PLEASE!!!
There was some nice banter about arsenal (and chelsea) on espnfc tonite. Stewart Robson flew over for a few shows. I like most of what he has to say except his tiresome wenger bashing. Anyway if you missed it you can still dvr it at 8am ET tmrw or maybe watch it online?
