PS: Anderlecht lost 1-0 on a 19th minute goal at Standard Liege. Sacha started but was subbed at the half.

PPS: Anderlecht have a new-ish manager, Albanian Besnik Hasi, who played for Anderlecht for 6years among other teams. He was assistant manager for 6 years and took over on March 10th.

On the bench again today. This lack of playing time isn't good for his chances of making the 23 especially with the strong play of backerman edu and Williams latly.

I think his best shot was making the 30. With the way things are going, might need to look for a new home this summer.

If you watch his highlights against Loreken or Olympiacos, you might be on suicide watch.

    (2 min mark)

Belgium is going to be stacked for a while.

Good thing he isnt a yank, he may literally burn BS to ground.

I delivered a few passes like that back-in-the-day. Only my teammates scored. I remember one in particular where I had my back towards goal, near the touchline at midfield, let the ball roll through my legs, spinning away from the defender and hit a perfect 35 yr. diagonal for an on rushing player to bury a game winner. Oh yeah, forgot to mention........ it wasn't until I woke up that I realized it wasn't real! :D ;)

In my soccer dreams the ball is a box of kleenex, the referee is incompetent beyond comprehension so that I am more frustrated than I can begin to explain, I can't run fast, I can't see the ball when it's at my feet, or some combination of those things or worse. I hate soccer dreams.

He plays exactly like Bradley, same technique and ability. Only he's 10 years younger.

but Bradley is one of those guys I think will only stop playing for the national team when they tell security to keep him out of the national team camps... so we got that going for us... maybe another dozen years of Bradley.

    Viva Bradley.

Also, look how hard that runner immediately hits the space, looking back toward him the whole time. Funny how much better a team's runs become when they have a guy who can find them. You saw flashes of this with Freddy because his teammates (especially with YNTs) knew he'd receive the ball cleanly and get his head up quickly.

Kljestan not in the 18 as Anderlecht lose 1-0 at Racing Genk to a 90th minute goal. They are in 4th in the playoff's 1 point out of EL spot.

Hasi's policy, which I agree with, is that he has more patience with the mistakes of youngsters like Tielemans or Praet than Gillet or Kljestan making the same errors.

Sasha in the 18 today but was an unused sub again. Looks like his World Cup hopes are all but over. May want to start looking for a new club as it looks like they have turned to younger options.

Really sucks as the first half of the season he looked like he was having 1 of the best years of his career.

no doubt, he got caught in some nasty negotiation tactics that he clearly lost at, and it cost him any chance at the WC. I hope he can find a nice club after all this is said and done though. nasty business, especially how loyally he served them in the years prior to this.

He's a veteran at Anderlecht, he probably gets one of the best seats on the bench.
