Did Marcos invent the fee while I was sleeping? Or did banks do it? Or any other business?

When is that presser they were going to hold? Is it coming up? Over already? Cancelled/Postponed due to MISL collapse?

Seems like now would be a good time to make a formal in-person public statement if I'm Sue Black to clear some stuff up.

The money sue black is being sued for is not USL money. It's borrowed money she didn't pay back. That $250k number everyone keeps throwing around was not a franchise fee. don't get confused. When she "bought" the wave (more like, it was given to her so Lindenberg could get out), she had to provide financials to the USL to show that she could afford the team. So she borrowed money to put in the bank, so when the financials ran, it showed she had the minimum amount necessary to run the team, so her ownership bid was approved. If some of you would just stop for a second and think about that, you would have figured it out a long time ago. The problem is, she didn't pay the money back. and her financial backer bailed on her and filed a law suit to try and get the money back. Where her money is coming from now, I don't know. My guess is she's trying to get the Wave summer camps running to generate off season income. With all of this going on, where has Tozer been? Is he fired? Did he quit? The fact that his name hasn't been mentioned, or that he hasn't given any type of quote since the season ended points things in a bad direction. With the USL closing down the MISL, Black should be free to join the PASL, like other teams have openly admitted to doing. So why hasn't there been a presser about her joining, or attempting to join the PASL? This just doesn't look good. "Dude, I'm working on it!" is NOT an encouraging answer to questions being asked. This is not good. I think we have seen the last of the Wave organization. As always, just my thoughts.

    No.

Under this ownership, I think so.

As an organization? As a team playing in Milwaukee called the Wave? I don't think so. Not from what I've been told.

I just think we are not going to hear anything until late may , Since the PASL has a meeting in Baltimore I would think this meeting would decide the fate of the current MISL teams , and I would think after this meeting we will all join the PASL or start a new league ran by the PASL . "Dude, I'm working on it!" that has got to go down as the funniest quote in MISL history

Although my Milwaukee Wave "Concerned-o-Meter" needle is higher now than it was before Lindenberg bought the team, I agree with Lewis on this.

For someone who refuses to let out negative "stuff" about the Wave (like Joe Hammes retiring), that like will be a classic for the 17 true indoor soccer fans in this country for years to come.

    That's a misquote, first off.

Secondly, it would have some competition for funniest indoor soccer quote.

“Just remember, I assisted on the first goal. You see who keys this offense, don’t you?”
Cleveland Crunch defender Tim Tyma, after a 52-18 win over the Columbus Invaders on March 15, 1997

“We go that way and try to put the ball in that goal over there and the other team goes this way and tries to put it in this goal over here.”
Toronto Shooting Stars coach Johan Aarnio, asked to explain the NPSL to new fans in late 1996. Aarnio was fired after a 1-8 start.

“There’s no way pro soccer can survive anymore in this country without indoor soccer.”
Chicago Sting (NASL) owner Lee Stern, in 1983

“I’m convinced now that indoor will be what makes soccer in the US.”
San Diego Sockers (NASL) owner Bob Bell, in 1983

“Tell the rest of the world to go on playing in the mud and rain. We’ll get rich while staying clean. The future of American soccer is indoors.”
San Diego Socker Julie Veee, in 1984

    “I’m disappointed that I overreacted a bit.”
Columbus Invaders (NPSL) coach Drago Jaha after getting four misconduct penalties and an ejection in a 24-22 overtime loss to Cincinnati on November 9, 1996.

“It sends a shock throughout the league.”
Pennsylvania Roar head coach Eric Puls, after his 0-11 team defeated the St. Louis Ambush 16-0 on January 19, 2014 for its first-ever victory.

All she had to do was say I am working on it , When she said "Dude" that was it she is destined for failure the one thing you need as a owner is professionalism and I just don't see her having it I honestly think the Daughtry concert took her under here is what I found on line I wonder just what he charged because it was not cheap .

Want to book an American Idol alum for a gig? A list of booking fees that include some Idols can be found via Degy Booking International.
Not surprisingly, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are at the top of the heap. If the figures are correct, Clay Aiken is still commanding a decent fee[IMG].
We Are The Fallen (Carly Smithson) $5-10k
    Blake Lewis $10k+
    Lee DeWyze $15-25k
    Crystal Bowersox $15-25k
    Danny Gokey $30k+
    David Archuleta $30-40k
    David Cook $30-50k
    Adam Lambert $40-50k+
    Kellie Pickler $50-60k
    Fantasia $50-75k
    Clay Aiken $85-100k+
    Jennifer Hudson $100k+
    Daughtry $200-300k+
    Kelly Clarkson $350-500k+
    Carrie Underwood $350-500k+
Thanks to Ozarka for compiling these. Keep in mind I haven’t confirmed these figures with a second source–there could be some wrong or out-of-date info on the list.

Geez, it never ends with you.

Use the word "Dude," you're destined for failure. That was it.

Not the lawsuits. Not the fact she never made more than $150,000 a year but somehow bought a professional sports franchise. Not laying off the staff. Those weren't clues. She used the word "Dude." In a text. To a reporter.

"The one thing you need as an owner is professionalism?"

    Really?

That's the one thing? The one, absolutely only thing you need?

Not money? Not vision? Not the ability to hire good people and trust them and hold them accountable?

    Professionalism. That's it.

So the valet at the hotel across the street from my office is a real professional guy. Always polite, always "Sir" and "Ma'am" and very helpful. Professional looking, carries himself professionally.

That's all he needs to be an owner?

    Really?

    How dumb are you, really?

Anyone notice which MISL team besides Pennsylvania wasn't mention as moving to the PASL? Maybe just an oversight?

The MISL had so many teams it's hard to keep track of them all.

St. Louis is still part of the ensemble.

For what it's worth, this was posted on the Wave's site yesterday:

"For the past 30 years the Milwaukee Wave professional soccer team has been a mainstay of the community. The Wave is proud to state that it is committed to staying in Milwaukee. While we begin to restructure and explore all options, we would like to thank our fans, sponsors, and community for their patience and support during this time of change.

We have several key components to our restructuring that will make it possible for the team to remain in Milwaukee and we are tackling them with a sense of urgency.

The Wave received excellent news from the United Soccer League Office and Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) that the franchise is officially released from the MISL and is now free to join a new league. As a result, we are in active discussions and negotiations to join Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) along with Baltimore, Kansas City, Rochester and Syracuse. The PASL could potentially have 20+ teams in the upcoming 2014-15 season and has been operating for over 16 years.

In light of our current restructuring efforts, Keith Tozer and the Wave have amicably parted ways. Sue Black said, “Keith has had a wonderful run as coach of the Wave for 21 years. I personally and everyone in the organization wishes him every success in his future work.”

Once we identify our new league and team strategy, we will conduct a search for personnel who will best fit within our structure and will work to achieve our goals for the franchise, city, county and state.

Another key factor to keeping professional soccer alive in Milwaukee is our partnership with the US Cellular Arena. It is critical that we have a lease that represents a win-win for both parties.

Wave Summer Soccer Camps will continue as scheduled in partnership with our professional soccer players. The Wave players are gearing up for one of the best camp seasons in our franchise history."
