Okay... so on the BigS shop ad banners, I see this... And I thought... Then I clicked the link... and thought... EDIT - oh, by the way... it's $169.00 http://shop.bigsoccer.com/65361.html#caption
I think the font thing is simply that the artist made all fonts relatively justified to the number of letters/width. That is why Crew Cat is one of the largest and 2002 supporter's shield is so small. Visually it works, but if you are tied to the history of the club, it doesn't so much work.
I've always thought the selection for Crew gear has been terrible. I like spending my money on gear from my favorite teams but can never find anything I like from the Crew. Most other MLS teams have twice the selection.
Completely agree with this. How is there such a difference in merchandise availability when Adidas supplies each team?
I've been told it's a league thing, as the Crew had products ready that they couldn't get the league to agree on (car magnets for one). That was a few years back, however.
The big issue is that if they are going to make a Crew item - it has to be in a big enough production run (even if similar to another team's) for it to be worth their while. My guess is that the data says if they make that minimum production run so that that there is a Crew version of every Timbers/Galaxy/Sounders FC/Red Bulls item they will be sitting on a bunch of left over Crew stuff at the end of the season. It is the unfortunate truth of business ... I mean, the Crew were still selling jerseys from 2011 last year. (Part of it is they don't want to sell them for too deep a discount.) Can you imagine if they had an analogous design of every Timbers/Galaxy/Sounders FC/Red Bulls t-shirt, hat, etc.? That is part of the reason HSG didn't want to produce a 3rd jersey. They didn't think they could sell them (or if they sold them, they would be left holding 1st and 2nd shirts instead).
Not arguing with you but the Crew may sell more stuff if they didn't go out of their way to royally piss off fans every couple of years.
They had it in a little pop up shop outside the Nordecke - If you leave the Nordecke by the lower route it was there.
Is there a Hamburgler app? It would be useful to get updates on the most recent stolen hamburger hotspots & such.
With the amt of amazing merch and attire made by the supporter groups and Homage, Massive City FFC, etc., I have no idea why anyone would buy, outside of an authentic jersey, jack shit made by Adidas, put forth from MLSHQ, etc.
I've bought several things through Homage, and supporters stuff....I seen this shirt and really like it...
Nope. Ok - Where Crew union stands there is a lower exit to the left - Kind of where the Nordecke ends and the other stand starts.
