I've read rumblings on Arsenal boards about this. Didn't see anything on the Liverpool board about it and didn't want to start a thread there as it seemed a 'troll' thing to do.

Supposedly Barca has offered cash + players (Saviola/Garcia?) for Owen and he might agree to a move. Apparently this is more than just standard media hyperbole.

Let's see the team sheet for tomorrow's CL qualifier before making any predictions. It does seem to be more than just tabloid trash, but him playing tomorrow would leave him cup tied and, thus, much less valuable...

I say let Owen go. I mean if his heart is somewhere else, why not leave.

Don't blame the guy. He wants to play high level football. And if he can find it somewhere else, do it.

Who knows, he mind just get the same deal that Ian Rush had when he went to Juve.

If there's any validity to this then I really have to wonder if Barca has a fetish for short forwards. Having stock 185cm-plus strikers and speedy, creative, 175cm and under forwards would be the norm to make best of combinations of being threats both aerially and playmaking between forwards.

But it seems Barca have a thing for short ass attackers.

    Giuly - midget
    Saviola - midget
    Larsson - average height
    Luis Garcia - average height

None of them are over 6ft tall. Weird.

I think only one of vieira or owen will go, and right now i think it'll be vieira and owen will stay with liverpool.
