Holy crap did you see how the starting XI will be presented? Right in front of the Curva Sud as they rise from the stage
This is brilliant. First thing in Checked in the morning I'll build it myself if I have to. Anyone else want to join
The Stadio della Roma will offer a variety of venues for music and entertainment, including a 500-person stage in the AS Roma themed Restaurant, a 5,000 seat outdoor amphitheater, a 13,000 seat amphitheater within the Stadium and of course, large music tours can be hosted within the stadium itself. An integral part of the vision for this new development is that the new Stadio della Roma will serve as an anchor for a larger new privately owned and managed mixed-use development. This campus will become an active seven-day a week hub for shopping, dining, entertainment, work, hospitality and sport and will host Romans and visitors from around the world 365 days a year.
From the official press release: The stadium is scheduled to be completed and open for the start of the 2016/17 Serie A season
Jezzz this looks amazing but 2016 ? i guess its possible as it took 1 year and a bit to build the emirates stadium
I agree it was a bit gimmicky and I was put off, but I think it was to go with the whole 'Rise to Glory' thing. Relating it to the current 'Hungry for Glory' campaign, what's next '#Finally Some Glory'? I assume the changing rooms are underneath, man is that gonna be intimidating for the opposition. Hearing the faded booms and bangs of the crowd overhead, then gradually climbing towards a crescendo of noise. Then to walk out, and like a kick to the teeth the atmosphere hits you and you lose your cool to the heat of the Curva Sud.
Haven't posted here for a LONG time. Everything in my head tells me to not get carried away, but can't help myself Uberexcited!
Really spectacular. It is everything I could have hoped for. 52.5k is perfect for normal games and it can host the CL final by expansion. Not only will the fans get an amazing gameday experience, but the players are going to have top class facilities. State of the art training and physio. Our players will be better prepared and will feed off of our fans who are right on top of the pitch. It will truly be one of the best and most intimidating stadiums in Europe. This may seem unrealistic, but when you have such an intimidating atmosphere, it might actually translate into 1-2 more wins a season. I am excited to see the Hall of Fame and the (probable) Totti statue.
Bravo! Now get it done. Nothing worse than a big, gift wrapped box that you open only to find nothing is in it. The presentation today was fabulous gift wrap though. I'll give them that.
The stadium is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Does anyone have the video of the original presentation? All the original ones have been set to private.
Dan Meis: "We will use the same quarry used to build the Colosseum. We want to use local materials. The players will make their entry into the field for pre game warming on a hydraulic platform, on the model of the Colosseum. Nike wants to create a megastore inside the stadium. It can be a beautiful way to attract fans even when there is no match. Next to the store there will be a giant screen where you can see the away games. We need to diversify elements of attraction. Restaurants, shops, Nike Store and Hall of Fame, where you can spend the time before and after the match. There will also be the technical center where the team will train. There is wifi throughout. You can order food directly from your seat, we want to focus on technology. The stadium of Borussia Dortmund has inspired the first ideas. Bring fans to the stadium by boat? It might be interesting "
As weird at the platform that presents the players to the Curva Sud seems, it could be cool. I don't know. I guess I would have to see it in action. You can be sure that it will grab plenty of attention.
