Stop panicking. When you get to New York City, you'll find soccer all over the place.

Well, probably not youth clubs, but in NYC you'll have no problem finding options.

When you get to NY just call up Red Bulls and ask to speak to Mike Petke. Tell him you played club back home and would like to join the team. Shouldn't be a problem.

MLS is probably at least equal to the standard of the Egyptian league - so if you're not playing for a good team in Egypt, it's not likely you'll able to play in MLS immediately. Your age isn't a problem - many players join MLS at age 22 - but the league is quite competitive and players do not just walk in off the street.

You might try contacting clubs in the PDL and the NPSL - these are both amateur leagues (not paid) and feature mostly college-aged players (18-22 years old).

PDL teams near New York include FA Euro, Long Island Rough Riders, Jersey Express and Westchester Flames. NPSL clubs include Brooklyn Italians, New York Athletic Club, and Red Bull New York NPSL.

If you're not good enough for MLS but still want to be paid you could try the Cosmos in the NASL.
