I noticed that too, and switched from the Galavision HD channel over to the Galavison SD channel, and it solved the jumpiness. I thought it was just my TV. I guess not.
Speaking of announcers. JP Dellacamera last night said the LA Galaxy would prefer a 0-0 result over winning 3-2 because of away goals rule. Did he give that any thought at all? I thought the color guy on the SKC game was pretty good.

Wednesday, March 19 Toluca FC (MEX) vs. San Jose Earthquakes (USA) 7:00 pm FS2/UDN Series is even, 1-1. Cruz Azul (MEX) vs. Sporting Kansas City (USA) 9:00 pm FS2/Galavision SKC leads 1-0. Thursday, March 20 Árabe Unido (PAN) vs. LD Alajuelense (CRC) 9:00 pm FS+/UDN Series is even, 0-0. The Semifinals start on April 1.
This is one of the truly disappointing things about the Dynamo's performance against Arabe Unido. We could've gone deep into the competition.
Refresh my memory ... did Dom put in the A team or did Dom put in his traditional "if it is a non-MLS match" B/B+ team?
He put in a B team, but even so, the guys played without any passion whatsoever. The team was firmly eyeing the MLS playoffs and this was the beginning of what became an epic 7 games in 21 days.
In fairness (and hindsight) we were playing like ass for quite some time. Result wasn't too terribly shocking.
First result: SECOND LEG Tuesday, March 18 Club Tijuana (MEX) 4-2 LA Galaxy (USA) Tijuana advances, 4-3. Wednesday, March 19 Toluca FC (MEX) vs. San Jose Earthquakes (USA) 7:00 pm FS2/UDN Series is even, 1-1. Cruz Azul (MEX) vs. Sporting Kansas City (USA) 9:00 pm FS2/Galavision SKC leads 1-0. tough match to watch LA get steam rolled in the first 30 min - almost like they were dead on their feet, even though having the weekend off. Seemed unwilling to attack 50-50 balls, and the back line sucked all night. If not for a couple big sliding tackles, this game would have been out of hand. Continue to be impressed with Keane's play and his heart, even in the face of adversity.
LD10 didn't look as good as he did last week, which is unfortunate for LAG. Leonardo was a frigging disaster at that level of play, and Riley struggled as well. Zardes looked great at times, but turned the ball over after doing something good to gain space. Omar Gonzales looked very good for most of the match which is good for the USMNT. Robbie Keane still plays very well, but I can see that he has slowed down quite a bit, and is not physically capable as he wants to be.
When you start James Riley and Leonardo, you can't expect to go into Mexico and hold on to a 1-0 lead. It was over when they left LA with only a single goal.
Yet another schooling by Liga MX on MLS. Frankly, I think LA was MLS' best chance to make the semi-finals. I'll be rooting for SJ and SKC, but man this is getting difficult to watch year after year.
It's like a game. They always crank it up at home in Mexico. I don't see SJE, or SKC getting a result at altitude in two of the toughest places to play in Mexico. Estadio Azul is a fortress.
But the real question from the LA/Tijuana match is: was a rivalry formed? Was all the work done by the LA FO for naught??????????????????? Ugh...
Yeah I remembered they were playing about 2/3 through the match so I turned it on. I was pleasantly surprised (sorta)
Ya, It's tough to do, but gotta do it until the Dynamo put the best foot forward in CCL qualifying if/when we ever get back. It's a half hearted support at best, but better than listening to Liga MX smak.
I couldn't root against Tijuana right now. They have some pretty talented gringos playing for them. I'm hoping that Greg Garza gets a call up very soon.
This all fuking day. I'd rather see the Mexicans win it every year until I die before another MLS team wining it. Once the Dynamo win it then I won't care as much, but until then....
It's tough because I don't want to cheer for another MLS team, but it'd be pretty crazy to see this SJ line-up pull out a win at Toluca. When you've got no rooting interest, it's tough not to start pulling for the underdog.
SKC fans on the n&a thread were mad when i told them their 1-0 lead wasnt enough. i hope they lose by more than 3 goals too
That's me too. I keep accidentally rooting for SJE because they're American, even though I'm telling myself not to.
