    New "preseason kit."

I swear to God I have no idea what this organization thinks when it comes to stewarding the history. Green and Gold, boys. Green and Gold. Not the Chicago ********ing Sting.

From the moment the original carpetbaggers resurrected this identity, they have been shitty stewards of its legacy.

....and Tampa Bay has one of the better ones in the old NASL. Trying to think who might be better other than NYC.

Strikers, Sting had a few great years, Whitecaps were solid....damn, they were probably number two IMO.

The Black kit was pushed by Ralph's Mob for the "Sons Of Pirates" tradition. The Fans spoke and the Club listened (which is refreshing). If you were here for that, you'd understand.

And if you were here the first time around, you'd know that our colors are green and gold and we don't pander to fashionista bullshit.

Welcome to the 21st century, Kenn! Tradition can fluctuate; besides, it's only a FREAKIN' PRESEASON KIT. We're not losing the Green & Gold anytime soon.

I don't really care about the pre-season kits. They can be Blue for all a care and I also think they've done a decent job with tradition. Heck their bringing back the Wowdies. I'm just surprised they haven't changed the #1 Kit so that I would have to buy a new one. Anyone know if they are going to introduce a new one with a few different threads?

    Yawn.

My problem is with them picking and choosing what history they're going to honor and what they're going to dismiss. They've done it from the get-go.

Not by definition. It's not tradition, then, is it?

I guess they didn't have a black kit last year? Like, during THE FREAKIN' SEASON?

Not even about that. It's about pandering to the trendy bullshit people who think black is cool. The Black for Black's Sake people who just want to move merchandise.

Black is fine. Just not for this club. The third....thing....they wore last year was pandering.

Are they really going to remove the iconic Rowdies from the front for a casino? NASL crossing new American boundaries once again.

And Hard Rock is definately a cooler sponser to have on a jersey IMHO than Sears Financial, Bell, Bwin, and a lot of others.

Why do all you jackasses think it matters how 'cool' a sponsor is? Shirt sponsors are crap no matter what.

I hope to God they come up with a nice modern green and gold shirt this season. Don't spoil the classic hooped sleeve shirt with a sponsor.

First you argue that this isn't the same Rowdies as THOSE Rowdies and that all of us pretending to care about that tradition are posers, that we should worry about blazing new trails and doing new things.

Then you bitch when the new Rowdies do something different and claim they aren't holding on to the tradition set down by THOSE Rowdies.

    Make up your mind, sir.

You guys seem to be more worried about the "PRESEASON KIT" than the fact they probably lost Diego
for the season I know the back up is good but who is the back up to the back up.

Restrepo is a big loss. Hope the new keeper can fill his shoes. I'm sure FO is looking for another keeper.

Pre-season is a great time as long as no one gets hurt. But that is part of the game.
