Went to Nike SF club run yesterday. They run every Wednesday through the hills of San Francisco. They also let you rent a pair of their top end running shoes. I wore a pair of fly knit lunar 2. Keep in mine I've never owned a pair of actual running shoes, I use adidas samba for everything. I couldn't believe the fit on em. They felt great, like a pair of thicker socks. I can't wait for that concept to land on the soccer lineup. I find it very weird that adidas totally pulled the robbery on that concept.
Yeah, I know, I just think it would be a weird move by Nike to unveil the Magistas two months before the launch, as Elbullio suggests. I'm not saying you're wrong Elbullio, this may very well happen. It's just a bit disappointing IMO. This is just my personal opinion about the 2 month gap. Now I'm pretty excited by these boots, but come May I think I'd lose a bit interest, and I'm sure others also feel this way.
steve_boski after looking at my profile I honestly see why nobody follows me, I don't post often and its typically uneventful lol
Gave you both a follow (not Davids girlfriend though, lol). We should have a BigSoccer hashtag on IG, really. On topic: looks like they are going to unveil the sock feature right away. That probably means the Superfly will have other standout technologies in addition to the sock. Flywire, Flyknit, Carbon Fibre, I don't know, but it's got to be something to justify the price.
I think it's only gonna be the high end version that incorporates flyknit... By high end I mean elite.
Thats a good catch. Was the sock originally suppose to launch with this boot? I seem to remember all the spy shots without it.
Just pulling his leg with a bit of weird humour. But I think there's a more serious message here. This is a public forum, and as much as we would like to keep it a close knit group, anyone has access to what is posted. As someone who has dealt with internet privacy issues firsthand, heed my advice and keep your personal life distanced from your online personas; if not for your sake then at least for those closest to you... But back on topic
No clue, all those insta filters don't help much either. Doesn't look like any upper currently in use though.
spoken like a true internet creep I did get some followers today, I can kinda work out the more obvious one (bosk) then i'm kinda lost. @FootySpy I'm guessing you are the one with the pictures standing naked with raincoats on looking suspicious? back on topic, what is everyones thoughts on the whole knitted up/socks thing? My view is, I like the idea to an extent. For example the older adi5 range with the mesh uppers on the ball/cushioning and feel was great, until they stretched out and went sloppy. I am assuming adidas/nike have worked around this within the fibres to eliminate the overall shape going sloppy. I was just reading about the prime knit being coated in a waterproof coating. However there doesn't seem to be a mention of some sort of internal structure or bands helping keep the boot over going sloppy and over expanding. So is it going to be a copa deal were you have to downsize? I think nike's version will be better if they incorporate flywire within the design as it worked in everything other then the god awful SFII/III (that was more down to the fact nike used some horridly thick uppers) From the look of that picture, looks like nike have used an old SFI boot (the best SF ever!) The sock part puzzles me though, are nike trying to eliminate players cutting there socks? stop players using trusox? what about the sock/tape rule they brought into place? so many questions..
Maybe its to lock boot and ankle in place. I dont know whether its my and my fat feet but no nike boot i own fits tightly at the ankle. Also if it stops me twisting my ankle its all good...the boot also looks fantastic (Does the banderas gif) I use sf2 on 3g and my god it was an awful boot. A thin upper like sf1 or preferably v9 (without the weird stud pressure) would be amazing. Also if we need mixed sole to be on general sale. Not too sure bout bringing back carbon fibre though. In any event my wallet is prepared
Yeah I remember when I brought the windchill SFII and thought they looked amazing, and then it ended right there. I think it's well documented about the break in time and upper though...oh and the sense stud. how did nike go from the boot of the SFI to the II/III?! just how.. looking back at the sock, maybe its just a ankle compression sock. Then you still have the whole issue of sock cutting and trusox. Or maybe the sock actually goes inward rather then upward?!
