If i were United, I'd sack Moyes tomorrow and hire Fergie till the end of this season. What's the point in keeping him when there has been only degression ever since he was hired? Especially when this was the exact same squad that won the title last season + Januzaj and Mata.
Only when the Iraqi Information Minister reappears to do Moyes' pressers will we know the jig is up. Until then 6 more years I assume
Persie on the verge of almost publicly turning on Moyes apparently, saying haw not happy how he's deployed making strange runs not synching with other players
I'd rather give Campbell a shot than Sanogo. He seems to have more to offer. This season is exactly what Arsenal fans wanted to happen to Van Cuntry.
I think they both have some potential. Campbell looks like he can play on the wing too, which is nice.
See that's just not true, though. We gained infinitely more points versus United than we did at Liverpool. Even if you want to make it a psychological issue, the team suffered a big blow at Anfield and had to take a small step to recover. It's very similar to the City-Chelsea run in December. We'd taken a big hit to our collective psyche when we conceded that many at City, and if we took another it may have broken us, so we were ultra cautious against a gutless bus-parking Chelsea. But that caution allowed us to regain our confidence and led to a nice run. If the caution we showed against a gutless bus-parking United leads to a similar run, then we'll all be happy at the end of the season, I think. It sucks that a lousy, ripe-for-the-picking United squad was the team that it came against, but that's the luck of the draw.
it was the performance against the two sides. We were terrible versus Liverpool, but united offered no threat and we were happy with a point at home.
Wenger may have chosen to accept a point when we hadn't broken through by the, say, 75th minute. But the players created plenty of chances to win that game. (And, for what it's worth, we were denied a nailed on penalty when Vidic molested, tripped and forearm shivered Giroud on a set piece.)
RVP interviewed by Dutch TV. Jack: you came here for the trophies, looks like you won't be getting those here RVP: well, that will be difficult, in the league it's bad, out of the cups... so this is our only real chance left and it's still possible, we should be able to beat them
Arseblog tweeted this a little while ago: After seeing what we did for Dennis, United have gone one better by actually playing a statue of Rio Ferdinand.
That's a nice take by Campbell, but that defending is so lackluster. Lots of standing around. United just don't give a shit this season. I can't really judge Campbell against Sanogo at this point, because I just haven't seen enough of Sanogo. Campbell has had some nice moments for the national team and is doing well in a pretty strong Olympiacos side this season.
Totally different players. The fact that Wenger kept Gnabry and shipped Campbell, on the other hand...
we didnt show anything for most of that match. WE made Rio and Vidic look like it was 2008. I cant get over that.
Also, I saw that United is requiring season ticket holders to purchase a home ticket for Olympiacos -- and if they don't, they forfeit their season ticket to the Man City game. Is that standard practice? Seems like a real dick move.
Campbell couldn't get a work permit so keeping him wasn't an option. That doesn't mean Wenger doesn't prefer Gnarby but I don't think it's that straight forward.
I keep seeing the so called experts question Sanogo. What is funny is that they clearly have an anti Arsenal, fanning the disgruntled Arsenal fans (who are rightfully disgruntled at times) flames. Because if one were to trust their lying eyes one can argue that both Campbell and Sanogo are raw materials that need playing time. Did someone just say a strong Olympiacos team? Allow me a hearty guffaw. Greek league lulz, I mean I can't stop laughing. Are there enough teams to even play meaningful games? That league is like Scotland with Ouzo. smh Anyway, both Campbell and Sanogo have shown me glimpses let's hope they both flourish next season at the Emirates. As for United, limp would be kind I knew they'd lose and to watch all the United richard blowing fans be mad was priceless. lulz
