Boy, that just breaks my heart. Too bad he couldn't be suspended for a Revs' game. It's not fair that we get him all fired up, and DC United benefits. ;)

YES! I am glad the league gave its first American Prima-dona what he had coming to him!

It is unfortunate that he will miss the DC game though. Maybe he will "appeal the decision" ala baseball players....

Can you imagine the League's apprehension when they decided to have Landy where an open mike during the MLS All Star game.

Could have been ugly (though no doubt funny).

Not, as many will remember, lil Landy's first act of dissent during a Revs game. When the two teams met earlier this year, Landy ripped into the Main official almost the entire length of the field and refused to give the ball to the official for a restart after the Revs scored a goal that the chosen one thought was offside. For this, Marc Conolly wrote a nice article about he and the Quaks.

And then of course you had Landy, Muleman, and Weeble running off their mouths in the press after a game last year - when Muleman frankly admitted he his red-card-worthy hit on Pierce that got Pierce ejected (because of retaliation) was both intentional and premeditated, and Landy admitted the Quaks were going out of there way to "send messages" to the Revs.

Maybe they were just afraid of what Landy and his sisters would do next.

Well, the next time San Jose plays the Revs will be here on Sept. 4, the doubleheader with the US qualifying against El Salvadore. Now, we know Arena, unless there's some catastrophe, will can LD up. Unless LD pulls a Beasely and plays in both games, he'll only play in the Nats match and therefore not for the 'Quakes.

Gives him plenty of time to catch up on Stephen King novels.

Since "Janet", I think everything broadcast is on delay!

Let's keep in mind that, as Rev fans, we *should* root in the Revs' best interest. Let's hope DC falls flat to the Donovanless Quakes.

As for LD, he sure did act like one spoiled prima-donna that day. But, OTOH, he is America's best, and on the 18th and again on 9/4, I'll be loving him. The perfect solution for this emotional conflict? An extended stay in Munich!

It worked for me and Mathis - I like Clint a lot better now that he's in Germany!

I am well aware of this. I happen to run on emotion, rather than logic, though, and since we can't seem to do it, I like to see the Quakes get beaten by somebody.
