World Cup 2014 tickets: general discussion: NOT for trading or selling

Are yes you are right on the fan returns etc.and I am thinking more of the April onwards tickets. This WC has seen more sales phases, all of which have been delayed, than before so in reality I am not sure what the March phase will include. maybe non sold PMAs leading to the manic 24 hour rush we had before.

 

I noticed the availability of numbers and so I decided to publish them. I know what they meant for FCFS 1 so I am assuming they mean the same thing for next FCFS. Now obviously these can change a lot over the course of 1 month before FCFS starts. I am sure FIFA will not release all available tickets right away so these numbers may not represent all available tickets for a particular match. This is how they are right now. I normally leave the analysis part for the people here so whatever you have to say is most welcome!

Looks like the Random Draw is definitely over haven't seen any new posts on here........If there are any people out there who has seen a charge on their Visas in the last 24hrs please post. Lets give a glimmer of hope to those who are still waiting

To the Perth guys, let's keep in touch. I already have spares to Italy vs Costa Rica. Not sure what this round will bring if anything, nothing on the statement, but I used a GE credit card which is notoriously slow to update. May be an opportunity to trade/sell.

 

When will we find out which games we received tickets to?

 

Yeah i'm in Perth too and could have some spares depending on how the draw shakes out, but more than likely would be looking to grab some more tickets before we leave. Will definitely have to have a chat once the draw is over if we can help eachother.

 

Is there a way to do a general poll here?
I'd like to get a sense of who got allocated tickets this round, who didn't, and which country you applied from.
I wouldn't put it beyond Fifa to allocate tickets to certain nationalities to achieve some sort of ratios
of attendees/supporters, for what reason I don't know.

 

Just wondering if anybody who is still waiting for a credit card charge applied to one of the following 10 matches with the lowest Cat 1 demand (less than 2,000 applications in Cat 1 according to Scorpyn's tracker). Just picking these out because you surely should have gotten these tickets, given that plenty of people seem to have gotten matches that are in much higher demand. I can't for the life of me believe, for example, that people who applied for Greece-Cote d'Ivoire in Fortaleza (1700 Cat 1-3 applications total) have had their applications denied. Anyone?

I applied from Canada for single tickets, but just for the semis, so not a big surprise I didn't get any .

 

Is it possible they do multiple charges for each games? i.e. I now got the rd16 and later get something for rd8 or semis?

Sister applied with two other cousins (3 people)- they're a mix of Americans and Canadians applying from the USA
Another cousin applied with his friends (4 people) - they're again a mix of Americans and Canadians applying from the USA.

Both groups applied for the following games:
R16 - A1 vs B2 Belo
QF - W53 vs W54 Rio
SF - W57 vs 58 Belo
SF - W59 vs W60 Sao SP

In addition my sister's group solely applied for
R16 - 1F vs 2E SP

Both groups got not no tickets from this sales phase. We are all still hoping for impending Visa charges this week.

I really wish I had applied for an additional game to help my sister out - from the First Come First Serve I have VST for Belo for me and my husband

Hi all -- This will be my first World Cup I am attending and I was wondering about the names on the tickets. Do they actually check them at the gate? Is it difficult to buy some around the stadium from scalpers? I have read that FIFA prohibits it and scalping is illegal in Brazil, are these real concerns?

Ignore the names on the tickets. If the Japanese and the Germans did not check them... do you think the Brazilians will?

 

I applied for 4 Cat 1 tix (will accept lower Cat) to both semis, Rio QF, Rio R16 and got shutout. Gf's sister did same and included italy v costa rica and also got shutout. No, we didnt violate any ticket limits. We got Belo VST in FCFS phase. 4 Cat 1 on gf's app. Were all american. I have a citibank visa. And i believe gf has citibank MC. Both US issued.
If we get shut out of PMA heads will roll, especially considering shes a 4 yr member of USSSC!!

 

When do the PMA allocations take place?

 

From Virginia here, applied for (1) final and (1) semi-final Cat 1 tickets in the 1st sale phase, as expected, not successful.

Applied again this 2nd sale phase for Rio QF, R16, and Ecu vs Fra all category 1 with lower cat option.
No credit card changes....yet. I'm hoping FiFa is still changing.

 

The question is what are the chances of getting second round tickets in the FCFS. I applied from New York for tickets to Round of 16 in Rio and didn't get charged. As far as I personally know my friends have not won any second round games in this phase only first round games. I still have hope FIFA will charge me (=

 

Got 2 Cat 1 tix to Italy-Uruguay in Natal, only game applied for as those were the only ones our group needed so we could all go to that game. From the US. Travel partner and a couple others applied but I haven't heard anything from them about getting charged.

 

4-year member of US supporters too. I joined mainly because I wanted tix for 2014. I actually thought of keep the membership, but if I dont get allocated, I'm done with it. Also living in SF, we never get any bay area US mens teams games, so it's a waste. Hopefully I did't pay $200 for four scarfs. I guess we'll see.

 

My brother in England -- Applied for 1 Cat. 1 USA v Ghana, 4 Cat. 1 US v Portugal and US v. Germany games and 4 Cat. 1 Rio Qf. Allocated 1 Cat. 1 US v Ghana ticket.
My brother in law in Virginia: Applied for 4 Category 1 tickets for US v Ghana, US v Portugal, and US v Germany and 4 Cat. 1 for the Rio Qf. Allocated four Cat. 1 tickets for one of the US first round games, most likely the US v. Ghana game.
Sister in Michigan -- Applied for 4 Cat. 1 USA v. Portugal and US v. Germany and 4 Cat. 1 Rio QF. Allocated nothing.
Me in DC -- Applied for 4 Cat. 1 Rio Qf. Allocated nothing.
Son in DC -- Applied for 4 Cat. 1 Rio Qf. Allocated nothing.

Score for the second lottery phase: Five applications for 13 games (49 tickets) requested -- 1 game, five tickets awarded.

Shut out on USA TST applications in the first lottery. Had four Cat. 1 Rio VST tickets in my basket in the initial FCFS round but crashed on the payment page and got nothing.

My son and I also have pending USA PMA applications. I jointed the Supporter's Club in April 2009. My son joined in December 2013. I think I have a good shot for the PMA tickets but if we get shut out again it's all in for the FCFS phase.

 

7 of us requested tickets for Brazil vs. Mexico in Fortaleza in both the 1st & 2nd phases. Not surprising, but all of our requests were unsuccessful.
