I read on FB that Italy is attempting to nationalize Milan player Sebastian Gamarra. He's the young bolivian player whose been with the Milan inferiores for 3 years now and he's 18.
Here is an article about Gamarra, a breath of fresh air in comparison to our other players that can't stop partying.. http://diarionuevosur.com/index.php...mado-en-cuenta-por-seleccionadores-de-bolivia
Well at least here on the forum, we were aware of him. Do you think choosing to play for our country, can affect his career?
In a couple interviews he said he wanted to play for Bolivia but he would never be called, lets hope Azkargota call him at least for the friendlies, cuz there is nothing official that would tie him to Bolivian till Copa America 2015.
They interviewed him I on Melodia FM today; he said that he had talked with his handlers about Italy national team...and then he said he had to live in Italy 10 years to get nationality. Then he said he was awaiting a call to the national team but it wasnt clear whether he meant Bolivia or Italy.
Yea. It's REALLY hard to be an italian citizen. Balotelli for example, lived in Italy all his life...Born in Italy...but because his blood isn't italian took him forever to be a citizen.
How did Maradona become one so easily? Mafia and/or entire city of Naples influence; he's a God there.
Well, let's hope players like this are recognized and given a chance. More importantly, let's hope friendlies are consistent.
Maybe like a lot of argentineans he has italian blood from a great great grandfather? Italy is a Jus Sanguinis country meaning he doesnt have to be born in there to become a citizen; suffice that he have an italian ancestor and thus italian blood.
He is the captain of the u-20 AC Milan side, and rumors are getting louder everyday that Italy is looking to nationalize him and quickly. Azkargorta will hopefully surprise us by calling him up on the next friendly. not
Wow. I thought this dude was 12 or 15 years old. He's 20 and captaining one of the strongest youth teams in Europe! It's a no brainer Azkargorta calls up this dude. These friendlies are tailored to these kind of players.
Unless some shady shit happens....Gamarra will only be eligible for Bolivia. I would like our NT to call up a mix bag of our best youth and some veterans for the mini tourney in US to give the young guys experience, and the older veterans to give them the 'teaching'.
Holy crap. So, a 17 year old is captaining a group of 20 year olds of one of the world's most talented youth teams..... Yeah baby!
Yeah. That would be best case scenario. Isn't Etch and some of the 94 wc players part of coaching squad?
The fact he is captaining a u20 AC Milan team at 17 already speaks volumes. Nothing can take that away, regardless of who he ends up with (National team wise). I'm sure players more talented, and athletic that are still in Bolivia, are the ones that will have trouble playing for big teams.
http://www.facetasdeportivastv.com/futbolinter/carlos-saucedo-marco-su-primera-gol-en-saprissa/ Saucedo's firt goal with Saprisa, hopefully the first of many.
Saucedo, M3, and jhasmany scored this past weekend! http://videobolivia.com/saprissa-gano-de-visitante-con-gol-de-carlos-saucedo/ http://videobolivia.com/cuarto-gol-de-marcelo-martins-moreno-en-el-cruzeiro-este-2014/ http://videobolivia.com/octavo-gol-de-jhasmani-campos-en-el-futbol-de-qatar/
Jhasmany and Saucedo scored for their teams! http://videobolivia.com/noveno-gol-de-jhasmani-campos-en-el-futbol-de-qatar/ http://videobolivia.com/carlos-saucedo-le-da-el-empate-al-saprissa-en-el-futbol-de-costa-rica/ Jhasmany's team seems to be destined for relegation, I hope he can get picked up by a more competitive team in a better league.
I had no idea Vicente Arze was playing for Hoverla Uzhhorod from Ukranian first division! It's a bottom table team, but way better league than Poland's...
