Hopefully their geography is a little bit off and they consider Chicago to be the East coast.

The Gunners at Soldier Field? The marketing campaign writes itself.

I found this post on World Soccer Talk today that is dated back to December 1st. It talks about Arsenal working on scheduling a friendly this summer in Boston. I find it hard to believe this is true if there hasn't been a peep about it in over 2 months now.

    http://worldsoccertalk.com/2013/12/...dly-in-boston-during-summer-2014-says-report/

Has anyone heard anything about an Arsenal friendly in the US this summer??

There has been chatter about it for months. Rumors have included Boston, DC, and Denver as locations.

Before drinks at Lucky, we can always have a reception for them here.

I usually go to the Abbey since it is much easier for me. I find downtown so chaotic.

Sources say that the ICC is staging two games in NYC, and with Arsenal worried about attendance, that could be an issue. That said, Tom Fox was watching the game with the NYC Gooners on Sunday, so maybe there is something there.

Haven't they already announced an Asia tour? Or maybe not. But I recall some strategic partnership with some new Asian company that implied a tour. I could be making this all up though. ;)

Edit: To be clear, I would be ALL OVER an Arsenal tour! ... anywhere within a drive of my CT home.

Well, I was thinking about that more for the restaurant's name than anything else.

I think I'd go as far as north as Boston, as far south as Miami, and as far west as Denver.

DC to Boston is easy for me. South of DC and there will have to be some negotiating. :)

So, if Arsenal did come to the US this summer. It'd be a pretty bare bones squad due to the World Cup, right? Or do these things usually take place after the Cups and without giving guys time off?

It would be a very sub-par squad. Not the year you would want them to come here. If that is what this is. The crest is confusing me.

I'm sure that's something World Soccer Report whipped up in five minutes.

I thought the crown could mean something Spanish. Now World Soccer Talk has posted this:

It would most likely be a reduced squad due to our conflict with the Community Shield*

    However, it's still the Arsenal.
