D.C. trades the #1 pick to Philadelphia, expected to select Andre Blake.

 

Philadelphia would be stupid to take Blake. MacMath has been playing well and is very young, and Steffen is supposed to be the best GK prospect potentially going into the league since Tim Howard. That move would make no sense.

 

Any audio or good live blogs going in the US soccer-verse?

 

This SuperDraft thing will go the way of the dinosaurs 10 years from now with all the academies getting first dibs to the good ones. The academies are going to make this obsolete with time.

 

Pretty good production from ESPN IMO. the league has come pretty far...

Coming from you that is a compliment to him. MacMath is fine, and Steffen is a better prospect than Blake. Philly botched the pick.

 

I'm still trying to figure out 1) why Philly bothered swapping with DC United, and 2) what DC United got for swapping with Philly.
