Since the club has gone and made its big moves to create a winner - will you be renewing your season tickets?

I've decided to give it one more year based on the recent news, what say you?

I was on the fence, and was willing to wait until 1/31.

I have no life as it is and could not imagine the stress I would face having to find something to do on 19 more days!

I moved to Haliburton this year, so season tickets aren't in the cards for me, as that's six hours of driving to see a match. I will probably come down for 5-6 big matches (PLAYOFFS PLEASE!), whilst staying at a hotel.

I was renewing anyway, albeit reluctantly and only doing so because we have great seats and would not want to find myself somewhere down the road wishing we had them back.

These signings have given me a bit of hope for this season, but I will remain cynical unless there are some results to go with them.

Lol buying on fear... Seems like flawed motivation. Regardless, the team should be much more competitive and fun to watch next season. (Big emphasize on should :)

If it wasn't for fear, MLSE would have been out of business long ago.

I was on the fence as well. But looking at the direction Leiweke is heading I'm starting to really buy into it. I'm going to give it until months end regardless. But it is a yes for me.

I was going to regardless. Even before these signings, they're in a better position than last year with two or three good young core players to build around. If there was a year to not renew, it was last year when there was absolutely nothing positive to even pretend to be optimistic about. If I renewed last year, it wouldn't make much sense to back out now.

I am in, as Scarbor pointed out, if we were silly enough to renew last year, then this year we must renew.

I really get what you guys are saying but, honestly, I did not feel "silly" for renewing last year. I like watching live football....it is the only avenue I have to do that.

Don't get me wrong, I also love watching live footy....but if we ever had an excuse not to renew, last year would have been it. Let's be honest, it was dreadful stuff

Wasn't great...but it sure beat mowing the lawn and digging holes for my wife (not to put her in but for her to plant stuff)

I feel the same way. Just saying that if one chose not to renew, last year would have been the time. Quite frankly, I'd like to thank those that didn't renew as I've slowly moved my way up to better and better seats at the same price level thanks to those who bailed.

It's really not hard to get tkts, or even cheap tkts.... and you can get in and out of each section really easily. I didn't renew because I got tkts for 4 brazil games in this WC, I'll be in the country for only 4 matches. There's not a single match where there wasn't tkts for sale at the BO.

I'm aware there have been tickets available but the best seats in each section are held by season ticket holders. While every game has had a season ticket no-shows and you could move up easily, I don't like the experience of a latecomer arriving 30 minutes into the game and I happen to be in their seats.

I wasn't talking about moving into a better section, simply moving within my section for a slightly better view (ie. closer to the point where the seats would become more expensive).

My parents moved to Toronto last January. I'm desperately trying to convince them to buy season tickets this year. I took mom to one soccer game last season, and she loved it. She particularly enjoyed the supporters. She wants to go see more, but for some reason feels like she would be out of place there on her own. I try to make my visits match up with games so I can see some live soccer, but I really only get to two games a year. Dad would attend games with her, but he travels a lot for work so I can't convince him to buy tickets that he'll only get to use half the time. They think its better for them to just buy tickets to games they want to see.

I'm convinced that in a few years it could be very hard for them to get season tickets if they don't get them now.

Really, I think I just need to up and move to T.O. to secure two seats for my family. Seems I've gotta take one for the team here.

I wish I could say I'd have access to a set.

Good to see your passion.....why not you buy the seats as season tickets.....and you use them when you are in town.....when your mom and/or your dad use them they can pay you face value (which is what they would pay at the box office but is below what you as a season ticket holder would pay).....depending on the seats, you only have to use them 50_70%(ish) of the time to break even.....if TFC proves as popular as we expect...you will be able to move the games no one in your family or you is going to to other people and you may end up recovering a decent portion of your cost from the combo of your parents and strangers and the games you go to would be free(ish)....and that is not even scalping just selling them at "face" (which I think is scalping but the majority in the TFC community disagree with me).

That's actually not something I've considered, however, I'd be curious to know how difficult it is currently to sell tickets at face value. Probably not something I would realistically try to do this year, but I must say, that's a damn good idea for next season. More reasonable next year as well, as the world cup expenses will be out of the way and I'll have had some time to save.

This may not be the place to discuss it, but any comment on how difficult it is to move extra tickets at face value? Anyone with season tickets care to comment?

Last year I imagine it was quite difficult......in the years from, say, 2007 - 201/11 it was not difficult at all I would guess.

Before last year, I had absolutely no problem finding people to take extra tickets that I had. Last year it was extremely difficult. It will probably be a lot easier at least for the first few games this year, after that it'll depend on how the team is performing.

In the first couple of years that I had season tickets (I started at season four), TFC tickets were like a bank machine. Anytime I needed money, I'd just post the tickets on Facebook for the face value of the ticket or send an email at work and someone would always buy them that same day - usually within minutes. The last couple of years, I've offered them for free and sometimes still had nobody interested. It's looking like that will change this season.
