Keeb the tex love flowing then:

    http://www.salon.com/2013/11/18/ted_cruz_calls_obama_lawless_and_hints_at_impeachment/

“One of the most troubling aspects of the Obama administration is — aside from their radical policies — the way they’ve implemented it has sadly been lawless,” Cruz said to the right-wing Newsmax.

When asked if he considered Obama’s lawlessness impeachable, Cruz demurred, saying, “That’s a question for the House, ultimately. The House, under the Constitution, makes the decision whether to impeach, and then the Senate is charged with trying. So, that’s a question for the House to assess.”

When pushed, Cruz still refused to give a straight answer. “Any impeachment would have to be tried in the United States Senate,” Cruz said. ”And so, my responsibility would be to render judgment. I would not want to urge the House to do anything other than exercise its best judgement. And then I would endeavor to do the same.”

The only way Obama can enact some legislation in the remainder of his term is to retain the Senate and regain the House. That seems very unlikely. Whatever advantage the Democrats gained during the government shutdown has been squandered away by the ACA rollout problems. The only way the Democrats can hope to regain the advantage before next year's elections is if the GOP replays the government shutdown hostage crisis in a few months and the house impeaches him. They won't have enough senators to convict, even after the elections in the worst case.

So how likely is it that Obama's strategists will goad the far right caucus in the House into impeachment proceedings? Are they Machiavellian enough?

The Democrats were not going to get the house anyways.

They could lose the Senate, but thanks to the shut down and Tea Party candidates, they may hold it.

As is typical with Ted Cruz material, I couldn't initially tell if the comic book was parody or serious. Serious, it appears. But it's the same difference, really.

Take this one - Cruz fighting Obama Care “was so important because millions of citizens believe Obama Care is worse than any war.”

That would be inspired parody, if it were parody.

Exactly the point I wanted to make.

The reason I hate the constitution-thumping folks is not because I personally dislike the US constitution. It's because those constitution-thumping folks usually pick and choose what parts of the constitution to love and what to completely disregard. I hate them not for their love of their country's constitution, but for their hypocrisy and double standards.

Either the constitution is a living document and all parts of it are subject to modification in keeping with the times, or it's a sacrosanct document and all parts of it must be followed to the letter, even the ones you dislike. You can't mix and match.

"For all ages" must be some sort of punchline... Anyhoo, I'm trying to figure out what kind of parent buys a Ted Cruz coloring book in the first doggone place. Second, there's a whole lot of land and wildlife on that cover. I'm thinking the actual pages meant to be colored have some factories drawn in so they can be colored grey.

I'm expecting one of these under the Christmas tree. My in-laws have given our kid a bunch of children's books by right-wingers. We have received the following for past holidays:

"Sweet Land of Liberty" by Callista Gingrich
"Our 50 States" by Lynne Cheney
"The Children's Book of Virtues" by William Bennett -- yes, a children's version of "The Book of Virtues" written by a gambling addict
and just received for Thanksgiving this year, "Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrms" by Rush Limbaugh. I could spend a lot of time deconstructing this one.
