The midfield last night in KC was incredible.

Guevara did it all. FK's, tackling, defending, holding the ball, and playing the long ball.

Gaven beat anyone 1v1, set up SGR at the end, attacked the goal.

Vaca actually made a tackle. With his offensive ability and passing skills, some defense will go a long way.

Magee was all over the field. He provided pressure all night long. He makes runs, crosses and provided cover and support all over the field last night.

So, when Clark comes back, who is the odd man out?

IMHO, Magee is more valuable than Vaca. When Vaca plays D it's niuce to see, unfortunately, we're also surprised to see it. I think Magee in the RW role can work, and if it doesn't it will at least tell Vaca that he has to move his butt, if he wants to stay on the field.

Trade Rico - he's never been that consistent and the team plays better without him. Clark always runs around with a dumbfounded look on his face like he doesn't really know what he's doing in there... I think the line-up we had last night worked great. Let's keep it that way unless someone decides to quit giving 110%.

I think Vaca sits, and is an option as an offensive sub.

Even if Clark doesn't immediatley displace somebody in the current linuep... he doesn't need to be traded. He would be a valuable sub later in the game when holding the lead.

Might we even see him back at right back?

I dunno. For all of his efforts, Vaca seems to make a lot of passes to no one in particluar. On the other hand, Clark seems to have regressed from his rookie year. The midfield as a whole played well last night, so maybe you play the hot hand for now. They're winning, so keep the lineup the same.

Vaca. They played well in the last two games, but like JPH said, Vaca did make some pretty bad passes.

Vaca. When was the last time he won a ball in the air??? Has improved overall but I feel Rico is just more aggresive than Vaca overall and that is what we need more of now without Gilberto around.

The guy is like 2 foot 2 and you want him to win a ball in the air? Maybe against Richie Williams...

Clark goes to the bench....if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! Besides, Clark has struggled this season...why put a player who was not in the best form before injury into the line-up straight away...he needs to his spot.
