Actually America is NOT a continent. It is North America, South America, etc. I'm sure you get the idea now, ignorant whatever you are.... really leave the racial crap in your pants.

There is also a link and a small blurb on mlsnet.com about the announcement.

I'm an enchilada eater myself. Nothing wrong with tacos, it's just that there's something about an enchilada.

...And now MLS will officially be the laughingstock of American professional sports. If it's fun and everyone is happy, then great.
But, I can assure you that the Galaxy players, fans and staff should be justifiably pissed at having to share their well-earned turf. How would the Red Sox like it if a Mexican baseball club struck a money deal with MLB and moved into Fenway Park? Silliness.
I bet that the next thing we'll see is 'Morelia USA' in the new Chicago Fire stadium (for obvious reasons).
What a shame that money can talk so loud.

Maybe they should've waited for an investor to show from Phoenix, eh?

Many Galaxy fans are unhappy. Some are not. I don't have a problem with it until something more than pure speculation happens to change my mind. The thing is...the stadium doesn't belong to the Galaxy players, fans, or staff. The stadium belongs to AEG and Phil can do whatever the hell he wants with it.

Well myself, I'm glad to see enthusiam for the new team and I'm hopeful it will do good things for the league and bring a real rivalry to LA that will increase interest in both teams, MLS and the sport here in the US in general.
I think those who are saying up front it's a bad idea should wait 'til midway through next season to pass any judgement in that regard. I think it's an experiment worth trying.

and i heard chivas payed a crap load of money to play hear in LA. Look chivas are only going o help mls and make us ultimatley better. I dont like the idea of having chivas here too but whatever they payed the money. and are going to help pay off the 150 million dollar price tag of the HDC. thank you mexico for your money the us is exploiting you again. all about the money people thhats what the league is about its a business. Besides the team will be a bust it will last three years or so after someone sues them for discriminating

MLS needs Chivas more than Chivas needs MLS. Without question Chivas USA will be the biggest team in the MLS. Americans simpley do not care for soccer. Im not saying ALL im just saying that the majority of Americans dont care for it. This league needs more investors like Jorge Vergara to help keep the MLS strong and to help out the U.S. mens team as well. There are soo many positives that Chivas USA will bring to the MLS, I cant believe some people actually dont like the idea. Oh well.......I will support this team 100%

I have a bad (maybe good) habit of always ordering Enchiladas when at a Mexican restaurant.

At certain restaurants I have never tried any other items on the menu because of this.

When they have the press conference on Monday, it's bound to be anti-climatic considering the rumors/unofficial info for the past several months.

Well maybe they'll make it more interesting with the team kits, name of the coach, a goat mascot dancing around or perhaps a real goat for that job, additional players other than the two already named, plans for additional security at Chivas USA/Galaxy matches and other stuff, but I doubt it.. ;)

Where are all these newbies coming from?

And how many of them are over the age of 13?

Well, Vergera is going to fly in 1,000+ people from his company plus both Paco and Ramon will be there and I think also the third player who has not been named yet. It's going to be a big deal, not just a press conference but a PARTY. It is going to be held on the Tennis Courts at HDC and is open to the public.
They have 5 people in mind for the coaching job with 3 being Mexican and two are non-mexican and one of those is Steve Sampson. If they go with a Mexican coach then they have said that the asst. coach will be someone who is familier with MLS (Former head coach).
Also Hans will be in L.A. in November to scout the 13 players that were reported to be outstanding. 11 of these players are Mexican and Mexican-American, while 2 of them are from Central America. Don't be surprise if you see LD in a Chivas USA shirt next year...........

    Mr. Pepper,
It is not the idea of Vergara & Chivas are not welcomed into MLS. Chivas will be welcomed addition to the league and the interest (buzz) of Chivas creates cannot be matched. I believe that the annimosity that you are witnessing stems from the arrogance that Vergara has made his announcements. I am not sure if Mr. Lamar Hunt were to purchase a team from 1ra. division and decided only Anglos or English speaking players would be hired that his welcome would not be the same. I personaly welcome the addition of Chivas to MLS. The postitives are too many to count. I wish Vergara would be more of a gentleman and be more conservative on his approach.

Firstly I dont think anyone dislikes the idea of CHivas USA, the new owners passion/deep pockets or the devotion of its Fans.

But I for one DETEST CHivas LA/USA, If persuing Mexican/Hispanic Americans Why not Houston, San Diego, Florida, Phoenix or San Antonio or any of the other MANY US cities with a high Mexican populace.

Hell, St Louis, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, Richmond and Rochester deserves a team before LA Should get a second team.

I from a selfish point of view would rather see a Detroit or renewed Cleveland bid so i could see more live games ( i live in Cleveland). But most of all I Still love the Crew, MLS as a whole, and my MLS Package on DishTV.

After the Crew, my Loyalty lies with the League-I think a whole new set potential fans can be developed in a NEW MARKET/REGION and get hooked on this great game we all Love.

I will be able to root against/but respect, Chivas wherever they play but i feel for the LA Galaxy fans and the other possible cities getting screwed simply because the league/new owner are being focusing with blinders (Its Garbers job to keep League Priorities First).

MLS Live is the Ultimate (Blows watching it on tv away-even though thats enjoyable also) I think the League is MISSING an opportunity to draw in a whole new region of fans, Building from the large Youth leagues Countrywide and Chivas's already strong fan base, not to mention New Converts. Its will be a sad day in my mind when this is made 'official'.

Sometimes you've got to stand up for yourself, have a little pride, and not be so desperate for a suiter that you just take anybody AND get pushed around. I pray Garber has studied Basic Marketing, the NASL History and taken an Assertiveness class.
