Given the fact that their mayor has admitted to smoking crack (as well as everything else that's happened) and they haven't wholeheartedly demanded he resign. I'm thinking that the denizens of Toronto are just happy with watching train wrecks.

They played 1 or 2 matches at the Rogers Centre this season, and BMO field has a higher capacity then PPL Park as well.

This dude's comment on the Union's FB page is MVP worthy.

It has been nearly 2 months since the Union's last match, and currently the only action taken by the FO was to announce that we're keeping the manager (I've heard better news) and a pickup in the re-entry draft. Needless to say, given the sorry state of play last year (unattractive football is one thing, LOSING unattractive football is another), most of us were expecting more. Seeing that our needs are glaringly obvious (hint - he would wear the #10 jersey) what is to be done? Surely we're not waiting for the so-called "superdraft" to see who's coming out of SUNY Buffalo as a backup defensive midfielder? I know this all sounds critical and cynical, but I am genuinely hoping and praying that the organization makes a commitment to being something more than a mid-table team (the MLS version of Stoke City) and so far nothing that might even hint of a change has come. The teams below us are making the changes necessary to improve, showing their supporters a level of ambition Philadelphia would do well to emulate. Google searches are great, community outreach is wonderful, but it all means nothing if the football is abysmal.
