Now I will say this. If you're used to playing with football lines it isn't bad visually, you still have to deal with the weird hops but visually it won't confuse you as a player. However to the viewer on TV it's bad, a mess. MLS 2004.

As the coach of a mediocre high school team that plays home games and practices on grass, I can tell you that when we play on plastic -- whether crappy plastic or fancy private school plastic -- the difference is astonishing.
