He played in Trabzonspor in the 2002-2003 season. He was signed after the 2002 World Cup. He scored against Turkiye in the third place match in Daegu against renown Turkish keeper Rüstü Recber and made a good impression with Trabzonspor. He left at the end of the 2003 season.

Trabzonspor is only one of four clubs in TUrkiye to win the Turkish league title. Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have won the league 15 times, Besiktas 12 times and I'm not so sure about Trabzon.. but it was during the late 70s when 2002 WC coach Senol Gunes was the goalkeeper of the Black Sea side. They are the only team outside of Istanbul's big three to win the league title. Last season, they finished runner-up to Fenerbahce and will make an attempt to join the Champions' League. not sure if Trabzon have what it takes but they are a feisty side that are difficult to beat at home... even mighty Gala and Fener fear Trabzon at home.

Lee Eul Yong did pretty well, or at least it seems that way as Trabzonspor had been trying to resign him even after Lee decided to come back to Korea. I guess the opportunity to play in CL this season made him to change his mind.

I will be interesting to follow Trabozonspor in Europe this season. They've kept thier best players like Fatih, Gökdeniz and Yattara and they've signed a midfielder from the Belgian National team and now Lee. It looks good.

I hope they will qualify for the Champions League. :)

lee eul yong did alright when he played for trab while back..

although he had injury problems, he managed to put up 4 assists in 19 games as their left wingback..
