dont think Arteta deserved a red card. Chamakh was never going to get a chance to score.

good win though. Chezzer came through big with that save. Like that they kept attacking too, even down a man, but never lost shape.

Was concerned they were not going to create much the first half, but it just rolled on after Arteta got the goal. Great performances from Ramsey and DDA Giroud.

We really miss TW and Ox in these kind of games. Theo can stretch the field and give us an outlet on the right.
Ox with his directness and acceleration would be helpful as well breaking down defenses like today.

I asked the very same question a couple of hours ago. Usually the 2 full backs stay back on corners but both went bombing forward at some point. Bouldie must have been livid. We totally lost or shape and Arteta found himself on a no mans land with Chamakh. Total breakdown in communication. Having said that, the penalty was really harsh.

Sagna otherwise was really solid today and had some great crosses as well. Gibbs is not as sharp as he was at the beginning of the season. Arsene should rotate him with Monreal. The Spaniard had a strong showing in his 20 minutes.

Proud how this team manages to win even when playing somewhat poorly. Bring on Chelsea and Liverpool.

How was the game? I woke up around the 70th minute and went back to sleep after Giroud scored.

If that's a clear scoring opportunity than I'm a blue eyed nordic male living in Chelsea

Arteta was the Flamini replacement. Gnabry was on the right, Ramsey slid back and Arteta became the holding/defensive mid.

Yeah but we should've had two guys to close one guy leaking out. Sort of like the safety in NFL if that makes sense

Ozil seemed really exhausted in today's game. He should be benched for a match or two

With no Flamini/Arteta, what kind of formation will we see vs Liverpool next weekend?

so what you are saying is that it's a deliberate tactic to have both centre backs forward as well as both full backs still pretending to be wingers, all while we are already in the lead?

    no, just no.
arteta should never have been on his own there in the first place. there is no justifiable reason or excuse for the complete absence of every single arsenal defender.
(and especially for the full backs, considering only a few days earlier we gave away a goal purely because of a disappearing full back)

    Lamb,

Ozil, Rosicky and Sagna failed to track back on that Dortmund counter. There was a photo of it posted by a Dortmund fan let me see if I can find it.

I had mine set, but i can't really watch games once i know the score. Was just glad Giroud put the nail in the coffin so i could get back to sleep. If we had drawn i would never have gotten back to bed.

Wanna know the truth?....It's a secret, so don't let anyone else on the internet read this post :D

I stayed up until kick off (1.45), after the late shift ..watched the first half, and the next thing I knew, Di was waking me up at 4.30...Just in time for me to watch the second half recording, and get to work by 5.45:oops:
