My third wife's sister-in-law, who is my cousin, says her brother heard from Si Robertson that "Jason, he gone!"
Tab Ramos seems popular today: http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/...vacancies-will-there-be-a-race-for-tab-ramos/
If this is true, I have to seriously question our long term prospects with DLH at the top. Kreis has had trouble closing the big games at home. But, some of those were games we had no business being in unless Kreis helps get us there in the first place. If this is simply about writing a bigger check for arguably a team's most important component, and we don't do, I'm not sure what to say. It all starts at the top, and there is no topper than DLH.
A monument to an impulsive urge by an owner to create some history... I like JK as a coach and was one of the few on here that defended him when he was put in. Having said that, the retiring of his number was an honor disproportionate to his accomplishments for RSL. Retire his jersey but not the number...
We've got a banner up for his retired number, but I haven't seen anything for the championship? Where is the banner or plaque for the actual team accomplishment?
I guess you could count that. They put a banner up on the west side at one point, but then it was taken down. I just think there should be something in the stadium. Kansas City: DC: Houston: Columbus has some cool plaques, but I can't find a picture of them.
Heard a rumor at the stadium from an employee, said that RSL had made a big offer to Kreis. Hope it's true.
Is it just me, or did it look like the Jason Kreis 9 was sort of covered up last night during the game?
I dunno, I feel like that whole retiring the 9 thing was really similar to getting a tattoo of your girlfriends name after you've dated for like a month.
or getting married to said girl after a month sounds like a utah thing... So, in a way, I guess the Kreis thing really made sense culturally
I know this is premature but it seems like Robben is the front runner to replace Kries, if he leaves. So I'm curious, in your wonderful opinions, what are some of the pros/cons of this happening? Is there anything he would do marketably better or worse then Kries?
pro: defense con: not known as an offensive minded coach pro: knows the system con: knows the system and would probably keep it pro: buys into team strategy con: struggled at Chivas (as anyone would) when trying to do that
That's not really fair. By default you are also comparing the RSL FO to Chivas's, is that a legit comparison?
You noticed the smiley, right? It was a joke. I think Robin would do a good job, but I wonder if he is better as an assistant than a head coach. He did an excellent job here, and he and Petke have done an amazing job in New York. I'm also not convinced that Hansen won't just look to Cassar and say, "Do you want to give this a go?"
Arjen? I don't really see him as a replacement for Kreis, seeing as how he's not a coach...but if he replaced Findley I'd be ecstatic.
you assume Kreis isn't going to ask all of his coaches here to jump ship with him That is the part that scares me more than Kreis leaving - that he'll take the guys that he brought in (all of them his guys) and clean the coaching staff completely out
Well if he does that it still opens the door for Fraser. Unless he steals Robin from RB, which would still leave us CJ Brown.
