it would have been great for Mexico, their journalism is absolutely terrible, they are some type of new "nazism" and im not exaggerating in any way, if you spoke Spanish you will know exactly what Im talking about, they take their soccer "critism" wayyyy too far. Yep. And I still find their obsession with me to be just precious. Nope. I disagree on that. Mexico looked awful, and I contend that the way they played last night, and all through the hex, they certainly DO NOT deserve to be in the World Cup. I hate this talking point that Mexico going to Brazil is "Better for the confederation". The best teams from our confederation going is better for the confederation. Period. You know what's better for the confederation? The USA facing a desperate and powerful team with a B-Team, playing a soft game as carefully as possible, on the road with a hostile crowd and ref, and still coming away with 3 points. Superpower Superpower USA. But, I do agree with you is that I hope Mexico makes the most of the lifeline we threw them. Beat the Kiwis, bros. Fix your midfield. Get scary again. I feel, as of now, Mexico don't deserve to go to the World Cup. I want them to prove me wrong. But right now, the way the Tricolor are playing, they are not "Far better for the confederation".
Humiliating is swallowing your pride to thank: The one country that Mexico looks down upon as no soccer. The players with no skills. The players who can't play in Europe. The country that doesn't have the hardware (gold medals and U17 WC trophy) Mexico has.
I know a lot of good fans of Mexico, the win is for them. The idiots supporting MEX get to tag along as a bonus. I do feel for the Panamanian fans, just worked out the way it has. What an incredible last few minutes of a game, sadly it was a huge negative for them. But their team played hard.
I see your point, but OTOH, maybe it'll be better for Mexico and Concacaf if they're put out of their misery, just like Panama. Now they can push themselves to get over the hump next time.
The awesome glory of going into a desperate foreign country with a B-Team and still beating them playing in first gear? That's the point. If Mexico beat the kiwis, we can appreciate their effort now. If Mexico lose to the Kiwis, we can point and laugh. I see nothing wrong here.
They better win for their own sake but I just can't root for those guys. I hope New Zealand shuts up their fans and shows them what a true bunker is. And then eliminates them on penalties after two 0-0 draws. Would make their suffering even more sweet.
I agree with this, but panama doesn't deserve to be in the WC any more than Mexico. They finished with less points while playing the same teams. Sure, we threw Mex a lifeline, but we would have been throwing Panama a lifeline had we lost. That either one if those teams deserves to be in the WC is questionable. Out of the two, I think Mexico will represent better..
I don't think you really got it. The English long o sound is a blend. A Spanish speaker will write that sound as "ou". So they're writing amigos with an American accent.

Y'all should be thanking Zusi for saving you from the red cards you would probably have gotten for all the trolling the Mexico forum if they had been eliminated. I said in the PBP, but I like to cheer for Mexico in the World Cup against the likes of Italy and other so-called world powers, but if Rafa Marquez is starting vs. New Zealand or in the World Cup, all bets are off. It's no coincidence that Mexico's defense has been terrible.
