Get real. I hate to interject politics, but the TeaParty and their bunch lose them ten times more quickly.
I hate to say this, but the way Mexico are playing, they may have a tough time vs. New Zealand. El Tri have struggled trying to break down organized sides, and NZ are stout defenders. I will root for Mexico, but I do worry for them.
In case you don't speak spanish, the first 25 seconds or so is celebrating the US goal. Then he quickly switches to bad mouthing the mexican team. Saying you "but you guys in the green, you guys are a disgrace, no love for the shirt, you're shit, you are advancing because of them, not you, you're patheic etc." Basically a 2 minute tirade of saying Mexico sucks lol.
And the site as well. Right as the games ended BS wouldn't load properly for a few minutes as it was.

Let me put it to you this way: the folks you talked about still hold onto el-tri because many of the citizens of the country whose nat'l team we support reject them. There's really no reason to not acknowledge the 800lb elephant in the room. It's not like trying to gain Scottish fans if we beat the Scottish team. We can't insult the hell out of them and/or their parents and expect them to want to join us, even if we do have the better team at the moment.
Yes, I'm sure they love being reminded how their country has become our b1tch in everything, including sport.
Time for Mexico to erect a statue of Graham Zusi in front of Azteca and pray to it before every game...
