Proverbially speaking........ Not sure what you are arguing anyway. As usual you don't have a argument. Just trying to fit in.
I think the main thing is, most of these guys haven't had runs in the side and most certainly not together. That is why you see sparks of what is possible, but it isn't sustained. It doesn't help that we play with one midfielder and most of the time only one FB. Moyes has reacted horribly to Rafael going down. He won't play Fabio. A lot of our play is crying out for some smart, active FB work.
Even though we used to have a habit of starting really slow and rallying, I don't think we'd have been that low at Christmas in the Premiership era. I would also be nearly certain that this is the first time we've gone 5 games - 450 minutes! - without scoring from open play, in probably upwards of 20 years. We did on the first day of the season, but nothing since. Even in 2005/06 where we were pretty stale for the most part in attack and iirc had some shocking patches of scoring form, I don't think we came anything close to that. The only silver linings, if any, are Nani and Kagawa starting over Young/Valencia/Giggs, and Januzaj continuing to get playing time. That's pretty much it.
Okay Cevno, why is our manager Moyes playing a guy with a bad back nearly every match? Why is our manager playing Phil Jones or Chris Smalling continuously as a FB even though they haven't had a good five minute span there all season? Why, after not purchasing a legit midfielder, still fielding a side that when passing to a midfielder other then Carrick ends in disaster 9 times out of 10?
Please keep the conversation civil and avoid Personal attacks...That sort of behaviour will not be tolerated...Lets keep the discussions civil and only on the game..
Shameful, nothing more to be said. I really just can't get behind Moyes when he seems to show he's poor in all fields, the market, line up choices, tactical creativity? I don't want to be a revolving door club but it's hard to see any potential. Smh
I guess....the players on the wing look awful, but a lot of that has to be that there's no one in place to cross to. Plus, honest to God, the players are telegraphing their moves like they're afraid that Moyes won't know what they're trying to do otherwise.
In all seriousness, I thoroughly enjoyed West Brom's football today. I literally applauded both goals.
Of everything, that is by far the most damming stat to me. Even more than the point total. I'm furious right now. I'm one similar result in the next month away from joining the Moyes out crowd.
Please. One close to the exit so I can off myself if needed. That shit was just dire. At this rate fergie will be back by Christmas. Cathy will give her blessing, I'm sure of it.
I think even Fergie and the Glazers aren't shortsighted enough to give Moyes as much time as he wants come what may. If we are not at the very least contending for 4th and instead continue to hover around mid table as time goes on, it is just a complete and utter failure given what he has to work with and the total circus of a tranfer window. No elite (rich) club in world football would except that from a new manager. It is not knee jerk in any way. You would expect this team to be fighting for top 4 (and more often than not achieving it) without a manager. He's already looking a little like a beaten man in interviews as time goes on, it's looking just too much of a leap for him, and the players are probably picking up on it.
