Liverpool are a good example of once you go mid-table, it's hard to come back. Cautionary tale of waiting too long to cut the cancer.
Indeed. If we fail to make the CL....we can also forget any rebuilding\improving (with top quality) project next year. It's difficult to crawl out of that abyss once you're in it.
The Liverpool thing is scary as hell. My worry is that if this is going to be a project, can we entrust Moyes with it? Even if results aren't great and he has to learn on the job, there still has to be signs of quality management. Players buying in, desire on the field, etc. I don't see that. And we want this man to buy players that are our core for the next 5 years? Implement his methods? I don't think so. Not unless he shows something.
I refuse to be one of those fans who pretend to be positive about the state United is in. I rather speak truthfully and be hated than to come across as fake. The club look beyond mediocre
We could have had Laudrup instead of Midtable Moyes. Swansea first in pass completion %, total passes, total passes completed. Sigh
Klopp would have jumped at the chance to manage United. We're quickly approaching the point where no manager will want to risk tarnishing their career trying to fix this mess.
