Would be nice to give Flamini a bit of breather... since he's not been the most durable player in recent years I hear. Arteta in at 60'? COYG!!!!
More good news!!! Samuel @samuelj29060 3h Last RT - Cazorla could be back for Napoli tie (Oct 1). Podolski was due back then, too. And Arteta is already back.
Santi, Arteta, Ozil and Ramsey would be absolutely perfect away at Napoli hopefully the former two will be fully fit.
Gibbs played when he was healthy. He was marginal a lot due to nagging injuries. But your point is well taken. Gibbs is now the left back. Nacho is Silvinho.
It wasn't just injuries, it was a home/road rotation that held up until the final match against Newcastle as it seemed. I think Gibbs was out for a bit and Monreal was playing but then you wind up with this split: April 6 @ WBA - Monreal April 13 home v Norwich - Gibbs April 16 home v Everton - Gibbs April 20 @ Fulham - Monreal April 28 home v Man U - Gibbs May 4 @ QPR - Monreal May 14 home v Wigan - Gibbs May 19 @ Newcastle - Gibbs The stretch of games before what I listed were all Monreal while Gibbs was injured a bit if I recall, but during this stretch it was a home/away rotation right up until the final match.
Or we can Shawcross Shawcross with Flamini and then sub in Arteta after he gets his yellow. Ramsey is safe, Flamini gets an early breather and Arteta is back. Win, win, win.
Bad idea to bring Areta back for this rugby match. Leave Flamini in, licence to kill if Shawcross touches the ball.
Big Brum has forgotten more technical knowledge of the game than I will ever know, so while me and the WestSide Maui Massive, do like to have a little joke , once in a while, .....he knows he always has my....
Dunno about that mate. I woukd rather have grown up around the club and been to many games like u and live in a bastard hot country full of hit females than be one of the many, pseudo intellectuals on big soccer
Am watching Chelsea vs Fulham and i believe we can beat this Chelsea team anyday/anywhere....they are so poor and disorganization....also the pool lost at home which means it is about time to claim and solidify our rightful place on the table # 1 tomorrow....
If we get a good start we could win this season, small squad i know but none of the other challengers look likely. United still look toothless, Chelsea is a rabble, and Liverpool is Liverpool. City is the only team that concerns me because they have talent and now have a smart manager.
I think if we survive to the interlull without dropping points, we're in a good position to make a run. We don't have the biggest squad, but we have a ton of injuries right now, and a lot of those players are coming back soon.
This "thin squad" meme is hard to crack, isn't it? Let's not mention Diaby, when all the players are back we can potentially have a bench with Jenks, Verm, Nacho, Flamini, Rosicky, Ox, Jack, Podolski and (yes) Bendtner. This is a pretty solid one anyway one will look at it. Talking about Bendtner..... Look who was in training today. ..
