Al Jazeera Sports IS A TELEVISION CHANNEL!!!!!! What about that do you not understand????????????????????????????????????????
Who cares if I was streaming it?!?!?!? That's not the point. The point was that TV CHANNELS ALL OVER THE WORLD UPDATE THE SCORES OF OTHER GAMES!
Not on beIN Sports they don't. I have never heard Martin Tyler on an international feed give a score from another game whether EPL or Champions League.
Not to mention that somewhere in the world someone was actually watching it on TV. More than are watching bein sports.
Again, typically it's the studio host that does it. There is NO studio host for the int'l feeds, TV networks do them on their own. Apples =/= Oranges
Not on ESPN it wasn't with the EPl. He even warned people when he was going to do it. They even give results during WCQ's and friendlies. They can't help themselves. Moving the goal posts? I am talking about announcers that are doing the game. I have NEVER on beIN heard an international feed announcer give an in game score of another game. We have been talking about in game announcers, not studio hosts. I am sure you can show me where I mentioned studio hosts.
ESPN didn't use studio hosts for the those games. You literally found the ONE example where it was the announcers themselves. Good work! We are all so proud!
It makes no difference if they used studio hosts or not. You are the one who moved the goal posts! Where did I bring in studio hosts? They did use studio hosts occasionally. I remember a few games when Alexi Lalas and Shaka Hislop were in the studio. I believe Robbie Mustoe was in the studio occasionally as well. Unfortunately you are wrong.
This PL Download show is pretty entertaining. Kind of a Best Week Ever, I Love The 80's style interviews show.
I believe the number one reason scores aren't given on international feeds of matches is because, as used to be the case here, many countries have a single channel covering a league, on a given day present one live immediately followed by another one delayed by two hours. These broadcasters reasonably demand spoilers be banished so people will stick around for the second match. When all sizable English speaking countries have their DirectTV/SKY TV satellite options, and the equivalent of espn1,2,3,4 and 5 spoilers will begin on English International Feeds. The spoiler prohibition on broadcasts has been repealed. They are pervasive on Italian RAI, on both Mexican and US airings of Liga MX, on MLS, and I think in the UK and Spain. It's not just NFL. It is pretty stupid though to make it hard to find a delayed stream without being forced past a screen full of scores. All that does is drive people to find unauthorized streams or download high quality captures to enjoy later.
I don't know if what you say will happen - will happen. I would have thought that everyone would already have the access described. Drives me crazy about Fox Soccer Champions League. They show half time and full time scores, then expect people to watch replays. Insane.
Well to be honest there should be absoultely no reason why UEFA can't show Champions League games at 1 and 3pm eastern time USA like they do Europa League. It allows fans to see atleast 2 live games per matchday instead of 1 in full entirety.
What is the latest in terms of games being available on demand on their app/website? Last week's games don't seem to be in there, but I thought they were for a certain period? Anyone have any idea when they're taken off?
To see the replays on the website go to http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com. Then type in 'replays' in the search box on the right side of the page. That should bring up a link to them.
That's pretty silly and certainly doesn't help those wanting to do it from their phone app. I wonder if NBC is just holding off making them available on the app because they're worried about peformance/bandwidth issues? Unless it's a licensing issue, but it's hard to imagine them not having cleared that.
NBC's app is terrible. Never worked during the hockey playoffs for me and they still haven't fixed it.
I've only tried it twice but it failed to work for me as advertised: 8/17 - Didn't allow me to watch (as "replay") our opening match that I missed live 9/15 - A live match kept looping back to 20' over and over until I bagged it Would be nice if NBC would get their sh1t together about this. ESPN's streaming app works pretty well, no?
And the sound doesn't work on the iPad app, too. And there's no easy way to "contact" them about this issue. The comments/app rating section is full of complaints, yet they've yet to fix it. Thx, Jay!
Turn off the TV for 15 minutes or watch something else for that time. I do that and I could care less about so-called 'spoilers'. The halftimes are always the same amount of time. There is no mystery as to when to come back.
