    Defensive reasons..

I think Van Marwijk is saving Song for the Champions League clash with Newcastle. While Newcastle has been in poor form as of late, including their defeat to Dynamo Kiev, they did manage a victory against fellow strugglers Sunderland.

What's great is that just a week ago, even Song said he may not be ready to take on Juventus in a match of Champions League class, but there he was.

He's becoming a regular starter from the word go, and that's good.

Still Roelfs thinks Song might have made it harder for fellow Koreans to come to Europe.
Feyenoord have paid about € 4 million for Song. That is quite a sum. But in Korea I worked the way that other Korean players will cost about the same. Korean club presidents are very ambitious. Now the Pusan I.cons have received this sum, and that will be the standard. Another club president will lose face when he receives less than that for one of his players.?

same ole greedy and pathetic k-league clubs.
and they always blame others when they do something stupid, they say like "this is what most fans wants so we are doing this" "we are only doing this for sake of player's future"

Good. I can't wait til the Newcastle game. I think they can pull out the win. Juventus is the best in the group, and Feyenoord was, more or less, able to play with them.

yeah that's what it was written in the Feyenoord site too.

"Ono wasn't the only Asian to prove his colours against De Graafschap, with Song clearly proving his worth again. The fact that he left the pitch after an hour for Lurling should therefore be seen as a defensive act by Van Marwijk more than anything else. He will have to save his strength for the top game against Newcastle United after Thomas Buffel managed to put Feyenoord 2-0 ahead."

Het Parool's article about how fast Song is adapting to the team.

He'll play an even bigger role when Ono will have to go away for those Japan friendlies. I think one of them will mean he'll be out for the big one against Ajax. If he's looking for a chance to really shine, there's no bigger stage in Dutch football than a game vs. Ajax.

Considering Het Parool is actually an local Amsterdam newspaper and therefore Ajax oriented, it shows how much Song has impressed everyone.
