Who the heck needs Demba Ba when you have Giroud in such fine form?

He was playing CB... And short of being out muscled by a player who should out muscle him did fine as 4th choice cb.

If Giroud is actually injured and Walcott's going to keep shooting like he did today maybe we start Rambo up top! (JK) Beautiful finishing and movement by AR, MOTM by far for that performance. And Ozil, oh boy, if that's him with the flu (or whatever illness he's got) i can't wait to see him and Santi at full health. What a day!

He had a weak season and even as a CB he's not fast enough.

should have bought an extra defender

I heard that if Rambo had gotten a hattrick then Justin Bieber would have died tomorrow.

Great game by Ramsey. Complete performance with goals. Arsenal fans should get use to the magic of Mesut, he was clearly from a different class compared to everyone else.

Yeah but some cover would be appreciated. Hopefully AW realizes "Hey, this xfer stuff with world class talent isn't too bad at all," and gets going with another top signing in January.

I give Walcott benefit of the doubt. Probably really tired. Has been playing all of our games and played during the international break as well. Yes I know other players may have as well, but some may be more tired.

Ozil played really well. His final pass is delightful. Just hope Walcott improves his finishing because he will be getting the right passes now. He is still recovering from a bug so we most certainly hasnt seen the best of him.

Giroud played a good game IMO. Not spectacular other than his really good finish, but solid play. Very consistent player for us.

Wilshere has been ok by his standards. Can't wait till he is 100% match fit.

Ramsey is a terror now. Plays really good offense, good defense. And he is now adding goals to his play.

Sagna I think has been really good today....future CB for us. Jenks has been ok but he needs more versatility. Wish he could have a better left foot.Gibbs ok too but makes some mistakes.

All in all, we played today with a tired Walcott (amongst other players), no Cazorla, and no leader at the back. I can't wait until Ozil clicks with the rest of the midfield, and we are fully healthy. We will be dangerous.

Well, the BBC table technically has us in first place. Chavs and LOLerpool obviously yet to play. And, since the later has absolutely NOTHING to play for in Europe, they'll probably get a lot of Monday and Sunday games.

If we keep this up, get some guys back, and hopefully make a few investments in January. We could really be on to something. Flamini was a great pick up on a free. Jack was alright, i'm hoping he's pulling a Ramsey and taking some time to get back into it before really hitting his stride again. If that's the case, a Ramsey,JFW, Özil midfield for the next 5 years sounds incredible.

By van Persie standards, Altidore should have had a yellow card for finishing that chance after the whistle.

for sure, he def has that captain quality. On the field, he is always composed yet commanding. Never loses his head, like Wilshere.
