While I do not like the way ILC taunts the members of Bigsoccer and his childish attitude, I have to give him something: This is not the best of Colombia, except for maybe two or three players, definitely an alternate squad, while Argentina's team was mostly the squad they're using in WC qualyfiers, except for maybe Crespo, Veron and Lopez (all of them comming of forgetable seasons, and not at the top of their game). However, we have to accept that Argentina played an awesome game, made Colombia look slow and clumsy, and that we (Colombia) have to take the loss as it is, without excuses or rationalizations. Argentina was superior, and 3-0 was generous.

Regarding the post by alberto232ec about Colombia regretful start on WC qualyfiers, the main difference is the coach, if you take a look, they're using basically the same players, but this team looks totally different from the one that lost with Venezuela at home and 4-0 against Bolivia.

    Colombia squad for the qualyfiers:

    --------------Calero
    Perea---Yepes-----Cordoba--Bedoya
    ---Restrepo---Viafara---Aguilar
    ------Grisales-------Oviedo (Pacheco)
    --------------Angel

From the team in copa America they'll call Henao, Martinez, Orozco, Gonzalez, Patiño, Murillo, Moreno, Herrera, most likely as subs. I don't see Diaz, Victoria, Dinas on the National team again

Argentina was playing without Ayala, Samuel, Aimar, Crespo and D'Alessandro.

Ayala was suspended after getting ejected in the game against Peru and D'Alessandro was on the bench, replaced by Tevez, who played a great game. Those were on the team, only didn't play for particular circumstances.

Ok, I give you Samuel. Aimar is recovering from an injury and Valencia did not lend him. Crespo is not at top of his game.

My point is, Argentina, make it Bielsa, has to win it all, otherwise he'll say goodbay, therefore he called the best players he could, and basically is the same team (7-8 players) that he has been using for WC qualyfiers. If there is any squad that you can name an A-Team in this tournament is Argentina. Colombia only used 2-3 starters from WC Qualyfiers, looks more like the B squad. In this regard ILC (surprisingly) is right.

However, I'm going to concede something: The way Argentina played last night, Colombia using all its starters would have gotten their as$es wopped anyway. And Colombia's loss is a loss, regardless of who played. Is time for Argies to brag about it.

By the way, I'll be cheering for Brazil:D

Excusses! All we heard after the friendly match with Argentina was that this was the new Colombia with a genius coach and Argentina was done blah blah blah! Now OH that was our C team. Go fvck yourself. Admit it your team isn't sh it! Your talked out of your @ss about a friendly match that meant nothing and now your left looking like an idiot!

  16. yes because in our friendly match perea was playing

you made no big feat you can go on celebrating beating a C team

today on caracol noticias a argentinan put it best

    "esto no es colombia"
    translation:
    "this is not colombia"

he was referring to our team was not a full blown colombian team just accept that all your celebrating is silly and vain and its sad that you have to celebrate half blown wins like this to feel better for losing 5-0 to us and not winning a copa america in 13 years...

i feel bad for the poor argentinans

  17. yes it was so amazing because it was a C team and we were playing against full powered bolivia, venezuela and peru not to mention costa rica ...

    for the small brained

IT WAS A C TEAM ALL ALONG

    U R RIGHT

Uruguay seems to have Brazil's number.

19-NOV-03 CURITIBA (Brazil) Brazil vs. Uruguay 3:3 (2:0) FIFA WC 2006 Prel. Comp. South American Zone
    Ohh what a game!!!

01-JUL-01 MONTEVIDEO (Uruguay) Uruguay vs. Brazil 1:0 (1:0) FIFA WC 2002 Prel. Comp. CONMEBOL

28-JUN-00 RIO DE JANEIRO (Brazil) Brazil vs. Uruguay 1:1 (0:1) FIFA WC 2002 Prel. Comp. CONMEBOL
I remember that Silva scored like in the 15th minute and Brazil with all their stars couldn't score, until (ohh, I'm so surprised) the Referee awarded Rivaldo a doubtful penalty in the 93rd minute:rolleyes:

19-SEP-93 RIO DE JANEIRO (Brazil) Brazil vs. Uruguay 2:0 (0:0) FIFA WC 1994 Prel. Comp. CONMEBOL

15-AUG-93 MONTEVIDEO (Uruguay) Uruguay vs. Brazil 1:1 (0:1) FIFA WC 1994 Prel. Comp. CONMEBOL

First of all is Colombia, not Columbia.

Second, our wise directives hired the only coach that have eliminated three teams from a single world cup. If you hire Maturranga these days, your team is doomed. Ask the peruvians, they know what I'm talking about.

And third and most important, if our team was part of the sorry as$ CONCACAF, we would clasify for every single WC, and FIFA event without cheating.

    http://www.planetworldcup.com/NATIONS/mex_qualify.html

"Para 1973 la racha de clasificaciones continuas a la Copa del Mundo se vio cortada; la sede fue Puerto Príncipe en Haití, en donde los nacionales tricolores perdieron por cuatro goles a cero contra Trinidad y Tobago. "

"Para finales de los setenta y principios de los ochenta, el futbol mexicano vivió una serie de experiencias de no gratos recuerdos, entre los cuales se encuentra la ronda de calificación para el mundial España 82 en donde los mexicanos quedan marginados de participar"

"1990 MEXICO banned from participating because of fielding overaged players in a FIFA youth tournament prior to the qualification rounds for Italy 1990."
