Argentinas dominance to the semis I will not admit, and that loss to mighty Mexico. I will admit that Argentina did beat Colombia and no they didn't have key players missing. You could say Crespo and Aimar weren't there along with Cavenaghi but Sorin and Killy Gonzales along with Tevez and Figueroa are no slouch. It just seemed like a bad game plan for Colombia to give up 3/4 of the field and pack it in back. Colombia was not lucky to win their games, Peru was lucky to tie them. I still don't think Argentina can beat Brasil or rather I hope. But you heard it here, congrats to Argentina for the win and the schooling, it was a dominating win.

You insist right? If it weren't that Colombia lost yesterday, I would also doubt your nationality. Uncommon among the many I know.

Close your book on the personal attacks ... and talk football dude. I did not attack Colombians ... I am providing the board, not only Colombians with facts.

It is not my fault the one sided game last nite.

How about you tell us your impression of Tevez, Mascherano or Zanetti last nite.

No what you are doing is subtle form of trolling. I have been a mod long enough to spot it. You are what we call a link troll. You can deny it but I know you are a troll and why would you care so much if Argentina won if you weren't a plastic argie.

    As posted last nite ...

"There was one diference in this Argentinian game from the prior 4 in the tourny. Argentina had the self confidence in knowing they could incline the field by "its own weight". It was surprising how in the first 5 minutes it seemed like a boxer studying the opponent, with the added football reasoning of keeping the ball in their feet.

This was the major difference for Argentina ... to take the time to impose their game. In this sense, they did look always in control ... they looked like the Holland of the 70's.

Colombia is an excellent team in regualting the tempo of the game ... in controlling the ball with ability, good biotypes (as Colombians like to describe it) and in gaining spaces to the back of markers. Argentina couldn't afford to press the gas and be caught in a counter ... therefore Bielsa clearly instructed the same offensive vision ... but with a tuxedo. No need to rush it ... to impose the adrenalin of knowing themselves superior, as they felt in WC '02, Paraguay and Mexico.

Argentina played a nearly perfect game. At half time they were ahead 1-0 in a mistake of Henao. But .. could had been easily up had they completed their "Holland" handbook ... those penetrations in the back, both on right and left, lacked one thing .. the pass back to the open player stepping into the area. Colombia's Aguilar had scored twice in this kind of play in the previous 2 Colombian games ... Argentina could had been up by a confortable score had they done it.

Clearly, in the 2nd half, Bielsa instructed Zanetti, Delgado, Kily and Sorin to do exactly that ... and Lucho took it to an unreachable 2-0. But ... why unreachable, if there was 30 left?

Two words Lucho Gonzales and specially Mascherano. A 9 and a 10 respectively. I tell you people, it is no coincidence, even thou every player can have a bad game here and there ... Argentina has a MONSTER on #5. Timing, placing, tackling, playing the ball, covering spaces ... Mascherano ATE COLOMBIA apart.

The 3-0 was only payback time for Juanpi (after the 2nd goal, the sarcastic smile of Kily to Zanetti meant that, no doubt about it) ... as he was on the field on the infamous nite of Palermo ...

Argentina is finding an A-team ... 1/2 of which as recently as 2 months ago would had been considered the U-23 NT.

Glad for football ... not every day can one conclude that players like Mascherano and Lucho Gonzales will keep this game exciting in the next decade.

Btw ... this was a game and this is a team for Juan Roman Riquelme. I know even Tevez would acknowledge this."

    I rest my case bro.

I really don't care who wins now, I'm just glad ILC got his ass handed to him. Colombia will never win a Copa America. Trust me ILC, they will never win, I'm older than you so listen to your elders, a lot of people on this board have soccer knowledge you can only dream of. See while you were pissing in your diapers, people on this board were watching futbol. So while you make up excuses about C team D team, you make yourself sound like a sore loser.

And your avatar tells us what? LOL.

Until you post on this board information, analysis or even links of interst, I'm done with you bro. I've been doing so recently during this whole Copa America, with sources ... and certainly believe it makes this board richer.

Why can't board members read an article from El Tiempo, or Ole ... or view the comments after the game (since they were shown on Telefutura), or see some of the best pictures of the game ...

The faces of fans on the stands ... what? ... doesn't happen at most knock-out games?

I will take the time to tell you an anecdote Sid ... in 1999 one of the most electrifing finals of the CL took place. The thrilling two goals in added time. You know what caught my attention besides the actual hapiness of the players? It was the fact that TV cameras were showing the faces of the happy Germans on the stands ... and the deeply sorrow Man U fans ... this was on the 90th minute. Two minutes later the TV showed the stands again ... and it was the complete opposite. Since then ... I pay close atention to this detail.

This is what makes this game the most beautiful game. This is the way I understand the game.

Certainly you think you are right.

    Enjoy your afternoon.

I totally understand the feeling. Last night I was playing EA sports FIFA and was winning 5-4 on the 89th minute on the Champions League Final, only for the computer to score, tie and win on a golden goal. hahahahahaha. Sorry, I didn't take pictures of myself to show you..

Tru we lost to Argentina is one of the Best teams in South America, with most of our forwards gone and it was a very close game. We had chances to score but u guys lost to them 3-0 and never got close to the goal.

Colombia dominated nothing and had no chance to win the game. You only created one clear chance to score and you choked it away. So go suck a dick bitch! Have fun in your 3rd and 4th place game that, by the way, Colombia will lose as well. I guess that friendly match that you talked so much sh it about really didn't mean sh it!! Welcome to the real world of futbol! Colombia isn't sh it! Your our bitch and you will always be our bitch! So why don't you shut up and listen when daddy speaks to your SS!

I told you this would happen but hey your stupid!
Well I guess you still have that friendly match to be proud of. Good luck with that. OH and if we lose in the final I guess I'll be OK knowing we beat your SS and put you back in your place.

Ciao GOL OMBIA ... OH I MEAN colombia

    VAMOS VAMOS ARGENTINA

    VAMOS VAMOS A GANAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing is Argentina doesn't have a B team or a C team. All of our teams are A teams compared to Colombia. Even our Olympic team is an A- team. :p

I'm guessing that Argentina won? Cool. How did Zanetti, Crespo, Saviola, or Veron look? I'm assuming they played.

    Thanks.

Only Zanetti played .. the rest are part of Argentina's "C" team now, and were not called to the Copa America due to this fact. [IMG]
