two straight wins! I didn't have any streams so did not catch the games, are there any sort of improvements? Or is it because we happened to be playing the weakest few opponents in BL... (all due respect to Augsburg and Braunschweig)
Mielitz shows no improvement, still endangering a 1-0 lead by making foolish runs out of position. The defesne played well considering no Fritz. Rum&Cola played really good on the left defense considering it was his second start. Midfield played great defensivly but still lack the tick tack toe thing. Elia played better that dismal.. Ekici was the star and he is becoming the player we had hoped from two seasons ago.. Hunt played better than usual. Peterson was CF and played well but I can't wait to see what Di Santos will do if and when he is subbed in or started. I don't understand why Werder cannot have a more effective counter when they have the lead. The biggest improvement here was the over-all team play, the attention to defensive duties and the ability to keep up with the counterattack coming at them. Nobody took any sh*t from anyone today and played thier guts out!
I'm ecstatic about 2 straight wins (and two straight clean sheets!) But Prödl has assisted both goals we've scored this season. We need to sort that out.
Strange match. Augsburg had more possesion, won more tackles and had more scoring chances, but we won the match without conceeding a goal. I'll take that win.
Verkehrte Welt - now we play crappy and win games. Used to be the other way around for ages. As long as we continue to win these matches, it's alright with me. But sooner or later we need a sustainable formula, a strategy, because riding your luck only works for a limited time frame.
So if I'm understanding correctly from Google Translate, you pay 40 Euro for the Exclusive service to get all of the Werder games on a 2-hour tape delay? Does anyone in the U.S. or Canada subscribe to the Exclusive service? I'd gladly pay that much to watch all of the games in decent quality without hunting for streams.
Yeah, we gave the opponents thus far not many good chances (out of Augsburgs 20 shots, 3 were dangerous), but also had only few chances. The next difficult matches vs. top teams will show how good Werder really is. I fear based on the last performances we will get a wake-up call at Dortmund, but maybe that is not too bad. That way our team stays realistic and try to work on its mistakes.
See, that's what I like about our club, the management and fans keep their feet firmly on the ground and don't get carried away after a few good reults. Now if HSV had won the initial two Bundesliga matches, they'd be talking about qualifying for the Champions League...
Do you know how they have rights to broadcast to the U.S.? I thought that was a GOLTV exclusive. Or do you have to sign up with an address in a different country?
Basic USA Act at a glance: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Broadcasting_Act Basic look at a World history and law of broadcasting in all media: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_broadcasting Interesting German PDF in English in depth: http://www.germanlawjournal.com/index.php?pageID=11&artID=1293 Here is the latest "rights" owner "Sky" and in this article it clearly defines ALL broadcasting media are thiers to sell out in packages in whatever form they please. If you had the money you could by a liscence as long as you conform to thier policies, likely one of those policies governs the 2 hour broadcast delay for webTV (thus protecting their biggest customer GolTV): http://www.rapidtvnews.com/index.php/2012041721330/sky-germany-retains-bundesliga-rightstelekom-seeks-collaboration.html
Slant, I have werder.tv and have had it before in the past. Its perfectly legal. Your bank/card is happy to charge you the extra 50 cents or whatever for a foreign transaction fee. I use it to....supplement my Werder viewing (that way if i cant get a stream I know i'll always be able to see the game later)
