I would like for Ronaldo to finish as the top scorer in la liga this year. And I'd like for Oezil to finish in the top 3 for assists.

I imagine I speak for most when I say I'm not nearly interested in a big scoreline win as I am in seeing how we move the ball and break down 11 behind the ball in a competitive match - one of our weaknesses at times over the last 3 years that enabled motivated inferior competition to give us trouble.

    I SO EXCITE

I just want a win any means necessary.

I will agree that I am interested in how we break down teams which sit deep. We all know that when a quality team sits deep and counters, we can get into big trouble because we tend to not finish our chances (see Manchester, Bayern, etc..). That is why I don't understand this wave of posters against signing Bale, a player who has proven he can be effective with his shot from distance. We've just rebounded even stronger than last season, team's will sit even deeper, not a necessity, but we could use another a game winner that can score one from far away when Cristiano isn't having his day.

Anyways, this thread is about Real Madrid and Betis........ and Casemiro. So let me get back to those topics.

I just want to see some progress. Realistically it will probably take 6-10 games before we can really assess how we're doing under Ancelotti. That time should also allow for players not involved in the preseason or maybe players who aren't even here yet :whistling: to get integrated as well. So give me a win and build on the good things we saw in the preseason and I'll be a happy camper.

I'm actually very interested to see who Carlo lines up in that holding midfield role and at RB. I think you've got to reward the two players that have had a fantastic preseason.

I just want to see RM win every game, but some of them can be close. I also want world peace and an end to NSA spying. If I think of any thing else, I will let you guys know.

Isn't it Pichi who comes by to drop a fly in our soup on Betis days? He's still around.

Or did Sinko like them too?

I'm most excited to watch if Modric can keep up his calming presence. He's the key to this team I feel.

Don't you know they are doing it for your safety! There would be nuclear blasts across the states if they didn't! If you have nothing to hide, why do you care? The rulers are great and honest men, you have nothing to worry about! Are you on the side of terrorists (including Snowden)?

I could go on all day, just watch the mainstream media and they come out with 10 excuses per day.

Edit: Mr NSA man reading my post, I am on your side!

Every year he comes by to jibe us I totally go into teeth-gnashing argh mode.

Then I remember... 1) He's been here since the birth of bigsoccer and has been moderating the Spain forum faithfully for a decade or so. 2) His love of his team and persistence through thick and thin is admirable. 3) We're the big boys, we can take it.

Guys yes it is me who drops in once in awhile to follow the game thread when Er Glorioso plays the Merengues. With the addition of 13 new players I have no clue who will be in the starting XI, except Anderson better not be the starting keeper and that RC will not suit up and that sucks. Good thing for Er Glorioso is that you all tend to start off slow each year as the new players have to gel with the current squad from the previous year, plus with a new coach I think a draw is possible for Er Glorioso and had this match been at home for us I would have said Betis would win. Unfortunately I will not be able to follow the match on BS so you guys luck out on that end of the stick. Guess we'll see what happens this weekend and here is my prediction: Madrid 1 Er Glorioso 1. Lets hope the game is exciting and enjoy your sopa castellana and watch out for those Green and White flies!!

    Ese Beti Oe!!

    Finally some La Liga action.

Betis were a good side last season but they seem to have made a shitload of changes so no clue how it will work out. What is worth mentioning is that they have an important away EL quali game 4 days after our game so they will probably hold it back a little, which should give us enough advantage to take the W.

    Don't get too excited.

Ozil might pick up a "injury" for his imminent move to United :(
