Yeah, good game, kind of glad we were getting attacked late on, will help the defense grow as we continue on.
Must not read too much into this game..... but a decent result from a team missing several players....Missed some good chances though.
Really proud of the boys today. We didn't have Messi and Kun and we still kicked ass. The defense was the highlight for me.
it is a well deserved win....... positive takes from the game bilgia--masch partnership looks good palacio shows good skill... ricky alvarez seems to be good sub but di maria looses ball too easily his decision making skill is so poor lamela didnt have good start , he didnt got good support from midfield ,and looses ball easily
Good win, but Italy are notorious for not giving a s**t in friendly games. Still we won and Brazil lost so that makes it a good evening.
I was only able to get home to catch the last 20 minutes or so. I gotta say that I was very pleased with what I saw, especially considering that so many subs had been made. This defense continues to improve. You get the sense that the confusion that reigned at that level for so long is just about done away with, as the guys seem to have a much clearer understanding of what they're supposed to do. The attack didn't look bad either...some nice ball retention over prolonged stretches...nice runs forward by the laterals...Banega seems to be in the middle of a rich vein of form....Of course, Higuain seemed to be on today, even though I missed his play. Overall, I give Sabella some props as I see a picture starting to come together with the way the team plays. Some may not like him, but I think it's clear that he has a specific vision in mind, and that is a far cry from what this selection has had in a very long time.
Di Maria made an assist and he set up Palacio with a tap in goal that he missed. He almost scored a golazo. Not his best game, but he played pretty good.
